LISA RENEE (Time Shift Blog): “Denial and Blame Shifters”

“Psychological projection is when humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities by denying their existence inside themselves, while attributing those same qualities to others.  For example, a person who is habitually rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude.  This incorporates blame shifting.  Denial of the truth is the seed of all Ego Defense Mechanisms.”

~Lisa Renee

When we understand how fear is created in the body, it is helpful in releasing the grip of anxiety and fear patterns.  People that are triggered into fears and mental anxiety may impulsively turn to blame shifting or the projection of their fears onto others.  When people are in deep pain and they are suffering, many times they will move unacceptable impulses in themselves and place them onto someone else.  Sometimes, if another person or situation makes them feel uncomfortable, the person will blame them for their own discomfort.  In this way, it is a denial of personal responsibility by attributing to others their own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or emotions.

When a person is shifting blame to an intuitive empath type of person, this can feel like someone throwing an energetic weight on top of them, while trying to make the empath process another person’s emotional garbage.  In this way, the blame shifter is throwing off his emotional garbage onto another person whom he perceives can process his emotional stuff.  This throwing off energetic weight in blame shifting or projection is a method used in order to release his or her own internal anxiety, in which that person seeks to release inner pressure that makes them feel immediately better about themselves.  There is an emotional pay off that exists in blame shifting.  Blame shifters tend to need to find self-justification for their own negative behaviors.  They conveniently place blame onto others in order to continue with their own sense of self entitlement to behave in the ways that make it easier for them to cope with stress.  Rather than get to the root of problems, they deny them by shifting blame of their issue onto others.

Psychological projection is when humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence inside themselves, while attributing those same qualities to others.  For example, a person who is habitually rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude.  This incorporates blame shifting.  Denial of the truth is the seed of all Ego Defense Mechanisms.  The concept of denial is particularly important to the study of addiction as facing the denial is getting to the root and cause of the addictive personality.  When denial occurs in more mature minds, it is most often associated with death, dying and rape.  Such as thoughts that are made towards crimes against humanity that are too terrible and fear inducing for that person to actually consider as accurate or truthful information, so they deny them instead.  Extremely difficult topics, like SRA [Satanic Ritual Abuse] or dying, may trigger great inner anxiety and fear, and are generally shut down from further discussion because many people are too afraid to confront these topics for a variety of reasons.

Denial is putting up a thought barrier and arguing against an anxiety-provoking stimuli by stating that it doesn’t exist.  When we live in denial we are refusing to perceive the more unpleasant aspects of the external reality, as well as many unpleasant aspects that may be hidden in our own behavior and personality.  Denial may also mean denying the happening of an event or the reliability of information, which can lead to a feeling of indifference on the topic in general, and to completely ignore the possibility of beneficial information.

A person that is rejecting unpleasant or painful truths inside themselves or in situations may use:

  • Simple Denial: deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether.
  • Minimization: admit the fact but deny its seriousness and impact through a combination of denial and rationalization.
  • Projection: admit both the fact and seriousness of the issue, but deny personal responsibility by blaming somebody or something else as the problem.

It is important to note that what makes denial denial and not just the refusal to admit to or accept a truth or fact, rests in the degree of that individual’s direct experience and awareness of the actual existence of the truth or fact.  In denial, an individual does not see or is mostly unconscious of the existence of the truth or fact.  The choice to refuse reality, then, is unconscious as well.  Refusal to admit to or accept a truth or fact differs from denial, in that the individual recognizes or is conscious of the existence of the truth or fact but consciously refuses to accept it as such.  Refusal to admit to a truth or fact, especially when it concerns others involved, can be considered a complex psychological and emotional manipulation tactic that is designed for selfish motivations.

When we are unaware of our subconscious reactions and thoughts, it is easy to project one’s unconscious qualities onto others, and this is a common occurrence in everyday life.

It is helpful to understand that dark forces in humans and nonhumans, commonly use blame shifting as a psychological warfare tool to weaken and exploit spiritually awakening people.  Blame shifting is a potent way to use trauma based mind control to weaken people, and so controller and manipulator types use this tactic skillfully to exploit those around them.  Blame shifting can also be accompanied with Gaslighting.  We must remember the goal of dark forces is to exploit and weaken those spiritually activated.  Thus they will target the mental body, emotional body and spiritual body, in so to exploit personal weaknesses.  The plan of action is to make that person doubt themselves or second guess what actually happened to them, even if they remember what has happened very clearly.  When a person is in perpetual self-doubt, this greatly weakens his or her mind and spiritual communication.  Gaslighting is a form of psychological-emotional abuse that Controlling types of personalities and dark forces use to which a victim is manipulated into doubting and discrediting their own memories, perceptions, experiences and sanity.  When people do not have the whole picture of events, and they are being deceived and manipulated with only limited access to the truth contained in circumstances, it obfuscates their ability to make informed, clear and well thought out decisions.  Thus human and non-human Gaslighters like to tell other people what they are feeling, what they are perceiving, what they should be doing, and criticize and condemn anything else they do not agree with in that persons experience, because it is not favorable to serve their own selfish agendas.  By attempting to gain total control over another person, this directly leads to control over the mind of another person, and this is what dark forces are striving for.  As long as they have some influence or control over the mind, they continue to have control in the mind, body and spirit of that individual.

These dark forces can be included in the subconscious fear content that exists in the fragmented parts of the individual’s mental body, in which great darkness has been allowed to grow and even flourish from feeding the fear.  When a person has not taken care of their subconscious fears, the inner darkness may explode from inner to outer, in which blame shifting and projection becomes a part of that person’s survival mechanism to cope with life.  When the negative ego and all of its shadows are feeling threatened, it will attack and lie in order to preserve itself, in a variety of ways that is described as ego defense mechanisms.

Anytime we reject the unpleasant truth to remain comfortable within our belief system, or from our fears of self-annihilation, we easily accept lies as truth.  When a person believes the negative thoughts they received from a negative entity, are actually coming from their own mind, and they act out that destructive behavior, the entity is successful in deceiving them.  Generally, entities use an emotional bait hook based on manipulating the type of pain or trauma that specific person carries.  The dark force will find an inroad into the weakness of that person, and possibly bind itself to the wounds of that person, through the consent that was made during the destructive behaviors that person has acted out in the past or present.  In order for that dark force to remain connected to manipulate the subconscious mind of the unaware person, they will use deflecting tactics to keep attention away from their existence and to keep the focus on other people and things on the external that can be used for blame shifting.  This is a potent way to continue to lodge the programing for fear bondage loops of victim-victimizer archetypes, which amplify polarities in the energies, and thus are feeding parasites and predators.

Being able to own your own emotional conflicts without blame or projection upon another person by making it their fault is the hallmark of personal responsibility.  Do not assume that you know anything about that person that can be judged for what you cannot see or really know about them, as you have not walked in their shoes.  When feeling upset towards somebody else, restore balance to your heart and aura by lovingly holding boundaries without violating others boundaries.  It is a violation of another’s healthy boundaries by expecting them to resolve your conflict and process your emotional content.  Be willing and open to learn what the real issue is that has created the conflict that exists within you.  Most of the time, we’re upset about something deep down from our own inner fears and it’s not what it appears to be on the surface of life.  By going deeper and reflecting on forgiveness of ourselves and forgiveness of others, while allowing the time and space needed to heal, helps to neutralize the conflict in most cases.  We all must learn how to become responsible for our own behaviors, thoughts and actions.  Accepting Self-Responsibility is a major step of productive negative ego clearing, in which we stop blame shifting or projection when it is merely convenient for us to unload our emotional garbage onto other people.

GILBERT ROSS: “The 12 Biggest Life Secrets Forgotten By Mankind”

The more I ponder about life, the more I come to one solid realisation:  The biggest curse and predicament of modern Man is forgetfulness.  Like a creeping malaise, forgetfulness has seeped through all of Man’s being and doing.  Individually, collectively, historically or culturally, we are spellbound to forget.

We haven’t only forgotten our past but also our place in the present and our responsibility of the future.  On a personal level, our ego-based state of consciousness is on a mission to keep us in this state of forgetfulness — to break the link to our being as a whole and to the interconnected web of life and universal consciousness.  On a collective level, this forgetfulness is perpetuated and reinforced by social and cultural means — mainly by being tranced into a reality of unconscious consumerism, inauthentic lifestyles and a materialistic mindset.

The brighter side of it is that we all have the chance to re-member and re-connect to ourselves and the universe at large.  The power of remembering is at the centre of the spiritual path to self-discovery and realisation.

Here is a list of what I believe we have forgotten, or more importantly, a list of things to remember:

1. We forgot our place in the natural world:

In the last couple of hundred years we have detached ourselves from nature.  We have exploited, ravaged, consumed and attempted to control nature to appease our greed driven by self-absorbed madness.  We tried to distance ourselves from the natural circle of life.  We forgot how to listen to and understand the natural rhythms and cycles of the earth — its signs and languages.  We forgot to follow nature’s path and live in balance with it.

2. We forgot our connection to life and the cosmos:

By detaching ourselves from nature, we forgot that we are deeply connected to it and to the cycles of the universe.  Some tribes on the outskirts of ‘civilisation’, and who still follow ancestral ways, have preserved this connection with respect and reverence.  We, on the other hand have instilled a sense of separateness which drove us out of balance and in dis-ease.  We forgot how all consciousness is interconnected and weaved into a delicate and beautiful dance.

3. We forgot our ancient wisdom:

We forgot our ancestral wisdom.  In the quest to gain scientific knowledge through the rationalisation of our mind, we forgot the wisdom through the opening of our heart.  We forgot the ancient stories and folk wisdom that was handed down from from seers and wise men of antiquity who lived in harmony with the universe.

4. We forgot our path and our dreams:

By stirring away from our inner path we forgot to dream the dream of life.  More importantly we forgot how to awake in that dream and see our true nature as co-creators of life — as the dreamers.  We forgot that we have the power to weave dreams and use our power of intention to direct those dreams into manifestation.

5. We forgot our purpose:

With too much chatter, noise and distraction in this dense reality we forgot what we came here to do.  We forgot our purpose.  We are caught in the mass trance of fabricated consensual reality.  We lost sight of our authenticity, that inner spark that drives us towards our happiness and self-realisation.  We forgot that we are here to be realised as spiritual beings embodied in a physical form and embedded in a congenial universe.

6. We forgot that everything is Love:

This is perhaps the deepest mystery of all that only some seers came to understand it as an all-embracing truth.  That truth however is hidden somewhere deep inside of us.  We knew it at some point but have lost touch with it.  We forgot that everything is ultimately energy and consciousness and that love is the fundamental fabric of existence that runs through all energy and consciousness.

7. We forgot to Forgive:

By being made to believe that we are separate and disconnected from the others and from everything else, we forgot to forgive.  In its deepest sense forgiveness is the act of reminding ourselves that we are one with everyone and everything and that there is no victim or perpetrator.  It’s just all of us together moving together in a dynamic web we call life.

8. We forgot to be Free:

Remind yourself one thing everyday:  You were made to be free.

We were born and raised in a ‘reality’ where freedom is only a concept.  We were bound to the shackles of fear, misconceptions, false ideologies, material reward and held ransom to rules and laws laid down to safeguard the interest of the few.  We were made to forget that we are free agents of change.  We are free to be who we are without fear or guilt.

9. We forgot our real power:

Living in fear has made us forget how powerful we are.  We forgot the massive power of our will and intention to change our reality.  We have been tranced into sleepwalking and following the ready made signs like automatons.

10. We forgot our lessons from history:

If there is something that history has taught us is how fast we are at forgetting our lessons.  Time and time again we keep on repeating the same mistakes, stuck in the same patterns of greed and self-destruction.  We cannot be blamed individually for the mistakes done by humanity in the past but we are responsible as individuals to to remind ourselves of the past mistakes and pass it on to the collective psyche.

11. We forgot to be simple:

Human life got more complex and complicated.  We are seduced by the glitter of more and not by the power of less.  We forgot to be simple and the meaning of simplicity.  Life is simple really.  Simplicity means discarding all the inessential stuff and ideas that clutter the view to our life purpose and the other truths we have forgotten.

12. We forgot to trust, believe and wonder:

We lost our enchantment with the world. We forgot to be wondered by the miracle of life.  We do not stand in awe at the majesty of it all anymore.  Our skepticism and cynical view of the world has made us lose trust in ourselves and the magic of the universe.  We forgot how to believe.  This is perhaps the biggest tragedy of all.  It weakened our spirit and impoverished our soul.

The brighter side of it is that we all have the chance to re-member and re-connect to ourselves and the universe at large. The power of remembering is at the centre of the spiritual path to self-discovery and realisation.

ALEXANDER PAPAGEORGHIOU: “Let Go of Your Gods and Leaders — You are the Answer”

The time of Ascension is in full glow, as we near the highest peak of energies we have been feeling and anticipating for years.  For many of us, the grounding of full 5D energies is nearing completion and we are beginning life on a completely blank slate.  At this point, we need to review our lives over the last decade or so and see how much we have learned to be self-reliant, using our intuition and our guidance to show us the way towards this new existence.  The time of leaders, gurus and figures that we relied on to show us the path is finally over.

The purpose of the Ascension process has been to reconnect us with our infinity, our light, and to enable us to become creators, in an aware, and loving manner.  We have been stripped of all the superfluous, the painful, the difficult, and the old, in order to reveal what we can easily call, the real US.  Our real energy has been unveiled and we can finally connect with it and survey our entire history from the time our soul was created to today.  We have become aware of the veils that have clouded our society for eons and the false priorities they have dealt us so that we would not take the time to ask questions and uncover the truths so adeptly hidden for so long.  These were in place so that we would not discover our own power, as that would crumble the status quo.  Finally, we connected with our spiritual guidance and were able to get messages from higher realms, to enable us to understand what the purpose of our journeys have been, collectively and individually, and what awaits us at the end of the path.

Most awakening light beings have sought out teachers and guides in the physical world in order to get the tools they needed to start creating.  Often times, these were not energetically compatible with the seekers, but rather chosen via the mind for empirical reasons, or through karmic choices.  This led many astray in the quest for information about how to awaken their own power and remember what they had decided to forget in this incarnation.

The ultimate purpose of a spiritual teacher is to pass on knowledge and elevate the people that seek their help.  No knowledge can be appropriated or owned.  No teacher that is legitimately trying to spread the light can function otherwise.  Once that is done, the seeker can go on the own path and continue their journey to where their own etheric spiritual guidance wishes to take them.  Many will eventually become teachers of the knowledge and pass their own experiences onward.

Having received many clients over the years, I have seen over and over people that had unconsciously chosen to end up with teachers that were motivated by elements of EGO, control, and often to create a status for themselves as prophets and indispensable awakening factors in their clients lives.  This had defeated the entire purpose of the Ascension, of this new age of light we are entering.  True teaching and mentoring is done purely out of love, there can be no dependency on the teacher and the guide should never allow for this framework to develop in such a way.  One must always let their client leave in a more elevated, liberated state than they arrived in, and to have enabled them to understand, through proper communication with themselves, which way they should end up.

The concept of Guruism, of the prophet, and of the infallible teacher is void and over.  The era of awakened beings being their own GODS, their own source of light, through their own connection with the Creator is now, and anything that disguises itself as teaching and enlightening but does not ELEVATE and RELEASE is simply not authentic and helpful in any way.  If you recognize these traits in a teacher and feel like you are not able to move forward on your own for fear of being alone or having to release a dependency on that person, if you feel unsure of yourself but at peace when you are around these individuals, you really must explore why your empowerment is not in full glow and why you are not accepting YOURSELF AS THE ANSWER.

A legitimately loving guide serves only one purpose: to act as a messenger for the light and help reconnect you to your soul and spiritual guidance so that you may be able to channel the light through your heart on your own accord and be all that you are.  Anything less than this is misguided in motivation.

We are all fragments of the same light and are here to reconnect to ourselves, as that is all that is real.  The Source is here to guide us and we seek to be enlightened and EMPOWERED simultaneously.  We are all Creators and infinitely resourceful beings in our own light.  Let Gods and Leaders lie in the past.  Be Your Own.

Much Love,

Alexander

LOUISA LOVE: “False Light versus Self-Realisation”

false light edited.jpg

I guess you could say I’ve always been a seeker of truth. Never satisfied with the opinions of others, and unable to find any sense in man-made religion, I began my inner spiritual healing journey during my mid twenties when I became physically ill with an auto-immune disorder. This illness forced me to purify my physical body, which in turn assisted me in purifying my mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. In the beginning of my search I got a little lost in New Age false ‘love and light’ teachings that pulled me out of my body into premature ‘bliss’. I was only reaching for the highs, and avoided all negativity. I was pushing down all of my anger, my shame, rage, grief and guilt, and bypassing the truth of my inner pain and turmoil for so called ‘oneness’ or ‘love and light’. During this time I became quite heavily involved in a well-known healing modality where emotional release was often bypassed for ‘emotional downloads’. This modality, and modalities similar to it are in my opinion very dangerous, as we begin to open up our higher spiritual or chakra centres ignoring the most important chakra of them all, which is of course the base chakra. If our foundation is not solid and we’re not feeling safe, with strong faith and trust in our path, things can get really bumpy so to speak. These types of healing modalities are all about the healings and not so much about taking action or integration.

False light usually has a hierarchical system at its core, which in turns encourages human beings to worship or give away their power to a so-called ‘god’, ‘creator being’, guru, shaman or ‘beings of light.’ These beings are usually perceived to be outside of the self, separate and/or more advanced. False Light bypasses the necessary emotional release of rage, anger, fear, guilt, grief etc by shaming these feelings and judging them as bad or even dangerous. It is true that these darker emotions when suppressed can often erupt into violence, but only when suppressed and shamed. With the TRUE light of compassion and self-love and acceptance of ALL of our feelings we can begin to express and heal our past. Usually once we begin to undertake this journey we will need an experienced facilitator to hold a safe space for the release of these suppressed emotions.

There is a huge difference in wallowing in victim consciousness and being willing to feel the emotional distortion in order to let the emotion or original trauma go completely. When we commit to soul purification we begin to empty out the distortions by feeling them fully with love and compassion rather than wallowing in the pain and drama of the past, by staying stuck in shame, guilt or regret. It is therefore of utmost important to bring the balm of self-acceptance, love and forgiveness to these darker rejected emotional aspects of ourselves in order to authentically let them go.

Feeling our feelings is an ESSENTIAL part of soul purification, and cannot be bypassed without severe negative repercussions. I know, as this is exactly what happened to me when I experienced a destabilised kundalini awakening three and a half years ago. I was ripped open and hurtled into the mouth of inter-dimensional non-benevolent beings that did not have my best interests at heart. It has been quite a dramatic journey of putting back the pieces ever since, and I am determined to assist others by encouraging authentic, from the base chakra up, grounded, safe awakenings.

Because of social conditioning and programming we hold an enormous amount of trapped emotions within our emotional body. This has a direct negative effect on our physical body! Trapped grief will affect lungs and heart, anger will affect the liver, fear the bladder and kidneys, and the list goes on. The physical body is actually an amazing barometer for the soul, and can show us exactly where our trapped emotions and limiting beliefs lie. Most of us were constantly told to be good, to smile, to be polite, and to shut down our truth to make everyone else feel comfortable. This has been incredibly damaging to our souls. We sold our boundaries for approval from others. We all seem to battle a major collective fear and belief, which is the fear of not being good enough, and the belief that we aren’t good enough. This disempowering belief sits at the core of human suffering. This lack of self-love, and the need to get it from outside us keeps us locked in victim consciousness. We give everyone else power over us by believing his or her judgments or their rejection of us. A massive inner conflict is created as we want to be authentic and truthful, but we don’t want to disappoint anyone else. We want love and adoration from others, but this is an inside job that only we can give to ourselves. This inner self-love is the ONLY love that can keep our cups full to the brim regardless of how others perceive us. So what is the end goal? Surely we want to be free to shine who we are regardless of how others respond. We want to live in our authentic truth where it will be impossible for others to manipulate or control us. But to get to this level of freedom and sovereignty we need to do the groundwork. We need to FEEL and get totally NAKED with life. When we live in fear of shining who we are, we hide, make ourselves invisible, and we never ever dare challenge ourselves. We stay stuck in our little worlds of TV dinners, addictions, distractions, or anything that will pull us away from ourselves. We have become slaves to our own fears, and believe you me when I say that this is a feast for some non-benevolent astral beings. Our fear becomes their food. We are not at the top of the food chain as you may think.

So how do we learn what we need to learn in order to be free? It is in our relationships with each other where the true soul medicine is. We will attract relationships into our lives to learn our major soul lessons. For instance, if you have no boundaries, you’ll attract parasitic people into your life, until enough becomes enough and you learn to say no. Once your no gets really strong it will be impossible for parasitic people to parasite off you. You simply won’t attract these types of people into your life.

When you’re in your true light you will never give your power away, not to any shaman, or guru, ascended master or archangel. Sure, on our path to autonomy we will benefit from the teachings of others, but only listen to those teachers who point you inwards towards YOU. Don’t stay stuck in one belief system, healing modality, or teaching for too long. Shake things up, change, flow, and in this way you will begin to free yourself from the fears that bind you, and keeps you from shining YOU. The meditation cushion on its own is just not enough to clear out trapped stuck rage, grief, fear and trauma. Meditation is of course incredibly powerful as it clears out the mental body, but combine it with breath work for deeper emotional release. Commit to feeling your pain, and do it consciously with an experienced healer or space holder. Your relationships with others, your physical health, your creative expression, etc will show you exactly where you still need to work on yourself. Can you dare to be vulnerable, open and free?

Authentic Self-Realisation is not easy, and it will not take you to premature bliss, or any fake New Age love and light. It will drag you through the darkest of shadow wounding that needs to be healed for you to be authentically and truly free. It is the hardest work you’ll ever do, but the most rewarding too. What can be better than to master yourself in this lifetime? Everything else, including our professions are just mini exams compared to the joy of authentic inner freedom. Just imagine what it would feel like to be so free you can just flow in synchronicity, trusting yourself fully, trusting life, trusting all of it. But as they say, Rome was not built in a day. This work takes time and a lot of dedication, on top of a strong willingness to look at your own shadow, to own your stuff and to speak up. The moment you commit to doing this work from the base up, feeling your feelings, busting through your fears, and taking responsibility, bit by bit you will free yourself, until you become so strong that nothing can disempower you in any way. This is what I want for you, true authentic self-realisation and inner freedom.

ZOE DAVENPORT: “Are You Loving Your Shadow Self?”

Shadow Self

Why looking at our shadow is integral to our spiritual awakening.

All shadow is is the lack of light and many spiritual practices shy away from our opposites – our shadow selves; this feeds the dark. This manifests into form to mirror back.  Now is the time to embrace all our parts with an open heart and a willingness to look deep within, to understand, to embrace and to let go.

This takes courage for when we truly step into our shadow it is about accepting this is also a part of us and as the yin and yang of life there is no light without dark for we would never have the contrast to relate.

It is ok to face that which we have hidden, for in facing our shadow we accept its presence, and in acceptance we are loving all parts of who we are.  The process is not to dwell on our shadow past for self-love will forgive and let this energy go.  However it is making recognition that the shadow energy is there within us, when we shine light on our shadow it is lit up, it is recognized and the need to be in the energy of shadow is released for we have accepted.

When we accept shadow we take responsibility for our lives, we are no longer in denial of this part of us.  We recognize that everything in our external world is a direct mirror of what is being shown to us from within.

Our souls wanted the most diverse learning experiences for our physical lives, but over time our manifestations had tipped over into the negatives, our energy became too yang, too masculine, too overpowering and we were left for years in the dark as to our true essence which is light.  We fought for life times in shadow, coming from the energy of reaction and not one of balance. We were taught to be strong, to always be pushing forward and to take what is ours for there is shortage.

It is then in this completion and surrender of ourselves, that we may collectively evolve as a species and as a planet, for we will now embrace and nurture ourselves in complete love which was all shadow ever needed.

When we are back in balance with self, each other and the planet – the sacred union of energies is restored once more.  Our lives become free from ALL ties to the past, for we understand it was our energy form that wanted to experience the shadow in order to fully integrate the light.  When we become conscious of our existence we expand back into all our awareness and understanding for life.  We understand we are here to learn unconditional love in physical form and to enjoy the experience of being human. The more we heal, learn and let go the more we expand back into who we are.

This shapes and changes our lives in so many ways from our health, our relationships, to our experiences. We hold more light and become complete and grounded into each present moment.  Everyone we meet is showing us something we need to learn about ourselves.  This understanding  will get us out of each other’s business and into our own, for the time spent in drama of another is really a deflection of what we are ignoring within ourselves.

So love your shadow, own your shadow and set it free.
