Every element of the universe is in a constant state of vibration manifested to us as light, sound and energy. The human sense perceive only a fraction of the infinite range of vibration . . .  A person can tune his or her own consciousness into the awareness of that totality with the use of a mantra. By vibrating in rhythm with the breath to a particular sound that is proportional to the creative sound, or sound current, one can expand one’s sensitivity to the entire spectrum of vibration. Just like the use of mantra in Kundalini Yoga, repeating positive affirmations throughout our day can be a useful tool in helping to “rewire” our brains to focus on calm and peaceful intentions, instead of being stuck in loops of worry or sadness. Repeating an affirmation, either silently or out loud is a method of directing the mind. All of our emotions (heartache, joy, animosity, bliss, despair) are frequencies, with their own unique vibration.

They might more commonly be referred to as beliefs or attitudes about our lives. However, on a deeper level, these emotions and beliefs create a vibratory sequence or pathway in our brains that starts to determine how we see the world and all of our experiences within it.  Our vibratory pattern determines how we feel about everything that we are experiencing. It may seem so simplistic – almost silly – but we have the power to choose how we feel, at any moment, by choosing which thoughts we allow to be predominant.

While I LOVE the use of Kundalini mantras, it isn’t for everybody at every point in time. Sometimes, in order to change our prevailing thought pattern, we need simple affirmations that we can connect with at any moment. The following affirmations will help restore or maintain your inner peace. Please modify them as you like so that they sound like your own voice. Always bring them into your consciousness in a positive manner – if possible, with a tranquil smile on your face. And don’t give up. The use of positive affirmations takes time, as you are creating new neural pathways in your brain. Come to this practice with gentle and loving energy.

 

1.  I am a channel of peace and well-being – my need for peace is abundantly met.
