THE DISSOLVING MATRIX ~ Caitlin Johnstone: “Patterns”

“So many of spiritual-type people’s highest values would work fine in a world without sociopaths. Forgiveness, humility, trust, seeing people’s basic innocence, etc., they work fine until you run into a manipulator with no empathy. In this world they require much more nuanced use. Things are getting stranger and stranger. Things getting stranger and stranger is what it looks like when long-fixed patterns begin to dissolve. For a species that has been on a trajectory toward self-destruction, patterns dissolving can only be a good thing. We’ll win this.”

“Watchers in the Sky…”

LISA RENEE: “Shocking Changes”

This period of time is extremely difficult for many people on the earth that are enduring stages of the Dark Night of the Soul, whether consciously on the spiritual path or not. Recently, the larger Collective Consciousness themes are around the power struggles and deep conflicts that exist in the structure of falsity and delusions, when electrified by the lightning flash that cracks through the darkness and confusion to illuminate the contents in front of us so that we can see or gain deeper truth. When we are struck by lightning (shocking changes), this can be a terror based or painful event in our lives that activates intense energy pouring up and into the body, and this creates an inner conjunction with the energy blockages in the body which surfaces great discomfort, anxiety, pain or fear. Most of the time when we experience an event in our lives in which lightning strikes occur, it is uncovering not only false structures, but buried parts of the unconscious mind and cellular memories that are embedded in our bodies. Meeting the negative energy or blockages when this inner conjunction is made acts as the spiritual catalyst for great changes and potential transformation, it forces the surface or hidden fears located in the pain body to be brought out into the thoughts, emotions, behaviors or in the impulses of the person.

Destructive Archetypes of Pain

When the person has no spiritual context, and if they are not strong enough to discipline their mind to gain control over outward impulses, they may find themselves acting out destructive archetypes and narratives of pain, fear and dramas with the people around them that trigger these inner memory buttons. Some of these Emotional Triggers can be from other lifetimes and those experiences, as well as unhealed emotional conflicts in the current lifetime that have been carried over because the negative emotional theme was left unresolved in other lifetimes or identities. It is important to understand that we can compassionately witness these impulses and negative narratives as they surface to us, but we do not have to choose to play them out in our body. In fact, it can be very traumatic if a person just allows themselves to be a slave to their impulses and play these narratives out unconsciously, which is re-engaging automatic memories from the collective consciousness that can be recycled into our life experiences, over and over again. The more we repeat the same Trauma pattern over and over, it registers imprints in our nervous system, brain and consciousness, making it harder to stop the destructive cycles of Pain Body triggers and ego wounds.

Pain Body Manipulated by Demonics

These pain body triggers and ego wounds can be further manipulated by negative entities, such as Fallen Angelics, which predictably will find wounds to jump onto and magnify the pain so the person is nearly a marionette puppet being pulled by attachment strings.

To stop the manipulation of painful and destructive emotional patterns, we have to stop acting them out, we must gain control over our impulses and make a strong decision to choose states of inner peace over succumbing to states of inner violence. Sometimes this means time out, take a break, turn off the mind and shift the body into passive and relaxed states, such as through meditation, and finding inner stillness. Inner Violence is the contents of the collective unconscious mind and pain body, while inner peace is the state of the spiritual self or super-consciousness. To create a bridge between the unconscious contents recorded in the pain body, and link them with the highest spiritual self, not only will we be the recipient of lightning strikes from the heavens above, we will be placed in a position where we must choose peace and love, in order to remain inner connected.

Ego Dismantling and Shocking Change

What may the Dismantling of Ego or Lightning Strike phase of Spiritual Initiation look like?

How many times may you recall when you are feeling safe within the narrow confines of your life, feeling comfortable in your current thoughts, beliefs and expectations? Then from out of nowhere, something shocking happens that completely destroys your day to day narrative and personal images of what you had thought your life would continue to be. All sense of security and structure that reinforced your identity, those people and circumstances that reflected a mirror image of what you thought was harmonious, reveals itself to be something else entirely.

Seeing Blind Spots through Shocking Events

Many times when lightning strikes we are seeing the delusion or falsity that was present in those interactions that gave us a false sense of strength and security. Much of the time this is the sudden realization that personal comfort was based on a house of cards, the inadequate foundation of false thoughts, beliefs and action.

This phase of spiritual growth can bring shocking inner and outer change and greater self-realization, it is a time of great personal turmoil when we go through the process of seeing blind spots in situations. When we see our blind spots, the places we were naïve or just plain wrong, now, what will you do and how will you manage the changes happening while facing the shocking truth?

When we are exposed to the lightning strike which is the marker of a personal spiritual initiation that leads into another level of consciousness, experiences, and spiritual Ascension, the next stage of emotional processing is generally shock. The central nervous system, brain and body can be pushed into an overloaded and overwhelmed state, subsequently there can be several cycles after the lighting strike that sends oceanic waves of frequency to move throughout the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual layers. These subsequent waves as they settle into a more coherent and integrated pattern within the lightbody layers, a person can move into feeling numb, apathetic, disorientated in time and in a void. This is a major life upheaval, it is spiritual crisis, bringing on normal reactions of grief, anger, sadness, confusion, sleepless nights and even facing confrontations with others.

When we are undergoing a change in the foundation of our sense of security and identity, it penetrates to the deepest core of our being, reverberating shock waves that force us to get out of personal comfort zones and to emotionally and spiritually grow beyond the current level.

Breaking Down Ego Defenses

The sudden destruction of our artificially created world and identity structures usually represent the inner and outer barriers erected to hide from yourself and others that express how you really feel. These mental body structures are personal defenses, Ego Defense Mechanisms, walls put up to disguise certain feelings, to cover up true inner thoughts and feelings. When a person is undergoing incredible stress and pressure, these walls can shatter, finally revealing your true inner self and feelings to those people around you.

When we suppress or hold back intense feelings and painful emotional processing, the internal pressure can be so great that we over-react, go paranoid, or play out Victim-Victimizer roles in our outward impulses or reactions. Our Discernment is not good when we can only see through the lens of inner pain, and so it is critical we do not take things personally, because it’s not personal. Be very careful with how much of yourself that you attempt to hide, because you must know that one day, everything will be revealed, over time the truth is revealed always.

Personal Turmoil

Therefore, when lightning strikes and you are thrown into personal turmoil, feeling pain and confusion, the first thing to remember is this is an act of creation within the destruction, and that it is potentially leading you to higher consciousness states, so don’t over react and let fear totally paralyze you. In this stage, you are being asked to break down all the false structures that have been artificially created or are no longer productive for your spiritual growth. If you resist the walls coming down to reveal the greater truth of your own unproductive behaviors that need correction, and instead play the hot potato ego game of assigning blame or dark interference upon others around you, this will increase pain and difficulty, as well as lead to the risk of negative spirit attachments magnifying the pain in you and possibly others. We are all breaking through the façades and pretense in our life, and by pretending, feigning, imagining and wishing things were different, this only puts up more pretense in order to constantly defend the rebuilding of your crumbling reality to maintain appearances for others, and this will only make things worse.

When people are totally overwhelmed and undergoing this stage of intense shock and pain, the ego may surface the narcissistic wounding and superior attitudes in order to face others and to try to cope with what is happening. When the narcissistic wound shows up in people, the main theme is they are blind to what anyone else is really undergoing, it’s harder for them to consider or cooperate in a natural flow with other people.

Narcissistic Wounding

The Narcissistic Wound means that person’s immediate issues and concerns become the central importance and all-consuming focus, it’s the only thing they can see when they are in pain or fear, and this produces the me, myself and I self-preservation consciousness.

The narcissistic wound in the three layers of ego is desperate to survive, and in its death throes will rise thought forms of sensing internal and external threats, sensations of severe discomfort with life’s situations, that lead to internal distractions of circular obsessions and prolonged anxiety.

Remember that the artificial façades, self-delusions and barriers are going to fall, whether you like it or not, because you have reached a limit in this area, and can no longer live with it. Although this phase of spiritual growth is very hard, we all have to undergo this process, no one gets away from this critical piece of spiritual ascension.

The mountain of ego, pain body, deceptions, facades, illusions, manipulations and emotional bait hooks must be destroyed so that you are free to face truth and gain an accurate sense of reality without false attachments.

Please remember you are undergoing the necessary changes required to accept the consciousness shift that will move you forward into more personal and spiritual freedom, clearing inner violence and living in a state of inner peace. The caveat is that you cannot resist it, and you cannot hide from it, this will require unraveling the deeper truth so that you can rise out of Service to Self consciousness and into the macrocosm perception of the Service to Others group consciousness. Embrace the opportunity to expand your consciousness and see things in your life, and your place in the Universe in a totally new way.

Holding Space for Spiritual Alchemy

There are some of us on the spiritual path that may be holding space for others, loved ones around us that are undergoing this intense process of lighting strike. Our loved ones, friends and acquaintances may be confused about what is occurring, they may be projecting assorted images, they may have faulty memory, they may be acting out past life archetypes, they may feel threatened and terrorized with survival fears in the future. They are unable to deeply understand all that is happening because they are utterly overwhelmed with intense energies, which surface deep emotional pain and grief.

When people are enduring intense pain and confusion while undergoing major life altering transformation and change, they may seek to pull you into their emotional entanglements and narratives.

To hold a clear and unconditionally loving space for such intense forms of spiritual alchemy, it is important to hold complete observer towards the process, even when it can be painful to watch people we care about endure such intense pain, confusion and grief. In spiritual community, this is a call for self-mastery in compassionate witnessing, and never, ever taking on another person’s emotional process or disjointed perceptions when they are in the deep and heated battle of the inner Armageddon, while the ego construct is flailing about in its death throes.

Practice Compassionate Witnessing

Witnessing is a natural function of expanded Consciousness which occurs during the embodiment of the higher spiritual-energetic intelligent bodies when the person is dedicated to Christos Principles of Compassion. In the earlier stages of awakening, the goal is to clear the fear programs and survival terror that is programmed into the Negative Ego and the Pain Body. This can be accomplished by identifying the Negative Ego thought forms as fear based and refocusing these painful, destructive thoughts by shifting perspective into Neutral Association or Observer Point. When this skill of disciplining the mind from the Negative Ego reaches a certain threshold in spiritual ascension embodiment, the benefits lead one to experience mental and emotional freedom, completely free of personal suffering.

The Law of Compassion is the first basic truth of One Self-God Self. As One Self-God Self, to be “Compassion in Action” towards others is then to be in harmony and right relationship to Self, right relationship to God, right relationship to the Universe. This is a Law of One practice. (Love Yourself, Love Others, Love the Earth and all of her creatures, is an action of Compassion.)

Staying in Natural Flow and Rhythm

While the earth and many people around us are enduring the challenges of the Dark Night, along with the Lightning Strike and subsequently going into shock and pain body processing, being of service also means we must be true to ourselves and set appropriate boundaries that keep us in alignment to our own natural rhythm and flows. When people are processing personal pain, they will tend to pull you into sharing their perceptions of pain through subtle or not so subtle manipulations. Generally the desire for people in pain is to find others that can commiserate with them, and this may look like emotional bait hooks trying to reel you into their perceptions. The best service you can be to the earth, is to love yourself and others unconditionally, without taking on their personal lessons for spiritual growth.

Everyone has to walk the path of spiritual ascension and do their own emotional work, and it is unique for every person, you do not want to interfere or take another person’s lessons away from them.

This means you will need to maintain your natural flows and set the terms of staying in the natural rhythms of your life, those rhythms that you have created for self-care, and to be true to yourself.

Our biggest struggles, challenges and problems in life can be generated when we are not in alignment with our own internal natural rhythms, which is defined through maintaining the alignment with our inner spirit.

We cannot stay present in the now moment when we are out of sync with ourselves. When we honor and allow our natural, authentic way of being in the world that is in harmony with the values we hold and align with our spiritual purpose and mission, we stay in the synchronicity of divine energetic flow. When we are aligned with our inner self, we must honor the authentic rhythm and harmony in our life, so we can listen to our highest spiritual self, which keeps us in alignment with the harmony of the Universal Laws.

Our Most Important Relationship

The most important relationships we have is with our higher power, God, and the inner relationship we have with ourselves.

During these tumultuous times, this is your priority to develop every day. Take care of these two most important relationships. And when something or someone is not happy because you take this space to connect into the natural rhythms of life, instead of fulfilling their personal needs and expectations of you, gently tell them that you follow your inner spirit without hesitation, and that you listen to nothing other than how your spirit guides you. We must find unconditional love and acceptance for ourselves, before we can truly allow people to be who they are without judgments and expectations. When we accept the responsibility to become a God-Sovereign-Free being, it means that we must protect our own rights to stay in higher alignment in so to achieve sovereignty, as well as to protect the rights of others in so they are free to be who they are, having the right to their own personal experiences and perceptions.

Stay awake as we traverse the valleys of the shadow and death, on the other side of destruction is creation, which awaits the deeper illumination of higher consciousness that we have worked so hard to achieve. May the Spirits of Christ walk with you, in Spirit of Purity, Spirit of Generosity, Spirit of Patience, Spirit of Kindness, Discipline/Conservation, Diligence and Humility. [1]

LISA RENEE (Time Shift Blog): “Social Competencies”

To develop and support Coherence and congruence in directing personal energies towards building an integrated Lightbody, and simultaneously, to define overall supportive energies within coherent systems, it is necessary to establish agreements towards personal goals for reaching a higher order of competencies. These ranges of competencies can be described as; emotional competencies, mental competencies, communication competencies, spiritual competencies, as well as relationship and social competencies.

Social competencies are required in building Coherent Systems involving group consciousness, which are intrinsic to the development of comprehending psychological and emotional factors that may impact the overall social group and influence the individual selves in the group. It is productive for all people to develop social competencies to be aware of how to identify and neutralize negative impacts that may arise in the social dynamics that mirror reflections within any type of group, community or organization. Seeing these mirrored reflections in every day life supports self-mastery skills that help to define basic competencies needed to become increasingly coherent. Becoming coherent is a necessary requirement in order to connect and communicate deeply with one’s inner spirit, and these skills are not taught in the current educational model stemming from the Controller Pillars of Society. The biggest challenge of any coherent system is to retrain the group to not think of competencies in terms of rank, status or power, but as a method to obtain personal goals of self-mastery and self-achievement that cannot be compared to anyone else. Thus, the group must be hyper aware of the pitfalls of judgment, comparison and putting others beneath or above you. We must learn to retrain our mind to be with others as unified equals, while being able to recognize specific competencies that yield no value difference, but may define a role for that person to be productive to support the group’s overall goal towards building more coherent systems of function.

In order for us to commit to any kind of group goal with a continual incentive, we must have personal resonance or feelings of inspired purpose with the group promotion of those same goals. In any kind of social construct, if the group goals are not important for an individual, he or she will lack coherence with the group and have no incentive to be responsible towards collaborating with others in the group towards achieving that goal. The lack of energetic Resonance clearly means it is the wrong group consciousness or social connection for that person. There is no right or wrong in personal resonance, but it is the responsibility for each person to figure out what their core resonances are, and to choose things that support that resonance. Understanding our personal resonance comes from our developed self-awareness. If we do not know ourselves well, we will not know our own Resonances. If a person in the group refuses to honor or respect the group goals this will create an increased lack of coherence. This is what breaks down trust and breaks down the strength of the overall system, which eventually must be corrected to achieve rebalancing.

The Ascension Cycle is about shifting out of old paradigms of control and manipulation that are commonly used to exert power plays in social situations, as these power plays are used to enforce hierarchical methods to define value systems based on rank and file. To combat these common negative ego patterns we have seen enforced in society, family and in the world at large, we must dismantle our instinctual desires, which overlay controlling behaviors that attempt to unconsciously or consciously reinforce these beliefs assigning power based on ranks and hierarchies. True Leadership is about embodying the role of being in service to the whole, serving the health of the greater good for each part that is included in the complexity of any kind of unified group or organized system. Each person has the personal power to choose to develop self-leadership, which takes on another dimension in service to the whole. Organized systems are needed to direct project goals and require an agreement of Unified Cooperation from the group of people involved, in order to achieve that higher goal. Without unified cooperation, there is no accountability or enough energetic Coherence present in the group field, which influences the larger goal towards becoming unsuccessful or ineffective.

Thus, on the path of integrated Ascension, which naturally increases inner energetic coherence, we must take responsibility for our behaviors, actions and choices. This is especially magnified while participating in group projects, group goals or communities, and we must honestly decide if we are willing to undergo these challenges in order to increase our personal competencies. The choice of reeducating oneself into supporting humanitarian goals and being willing to explore the higher concepts of learning required to achieve those goals, are the personal responsibility of each individual during this intense time of spiritual ascension. We can choose to retreat into isolation while blaming everything and everyone around us for the negativity that we feel, or we can stop feeling bitter and realize that we are interconnected with group consciousness, whether we like it or not.

To find our way through the insanity of the psychological control and Emotional Manipulation, we must remove these Negative Ego beliefs, biases and divisive attitudes from our own behavior. As we get spiritually stronger and clearer, we refuse to succumb to the reptilian order, overlaid to reinforce social structures based on fear that are designed to manifest the consciousness enslavement of the entire planet.

How do we as human beings start to practice new standards of behavior and implement these paradigm shifts in our day-to-day lives? The first step is to establish goals that reeducate people to re-think their ingrained attitudes and automated belief systems that have influenced their thoughts and behaviors into promoting fear-based thought forms. When we are paralyzed in fear and confusion, we will use control and manipulation of circumstances and people, in order to relieve the internal pressure of our anxiety.

When making the paradigm shift from the individualistic and self-absorbed ways of thinking and behaving, into supporting the higher good, we will naturally be pulled into circumstances to find coherence within group consciousness. As we evolve towards Group Consciousness, in order to help define personal competencies, while participating in a group, a model must be provided that describes these higher concepts and guidelines of coherent group behavior. Those guidelines include setting new standards for defining certain qualities of thought, behavior and actions, not only as a personal achievement, but to be held accountable for those behaviors by the group witness. As an example, a group agreement may include the practices of loving compassion or harmless interactions with all people devoid of religious or spiritual rhetoric, as one goal in modeling higher concepts of personal behavior that help to grow and support humanitarianism. How well each person in the group can adhere to that group agreement, is helpful to define competencies for each person that has made that agreement while participating in the group. It gives the opportunity to actually practice and model that higher standard of spiritually beneficial and positive behavior in one’s self, while reflecting that piece to others. As the capacity for personal Coherence increases, this serves to strengthen the group agreement, which allows for the potential increase of energetic Coherence for the entire system, to be greatly multiplied.

Ethical Behaviors and Attitudes

In the process of personal development and in the strengthening of one’s moral character, Humility takes on a moral and ethical dimension which cultivates virtues in every area of our lives. “True humility” is distinctly different from “false humility” which consists of deprecating one’s own sanctity, gifts, talents, and accomplishments for the sake of receiving praise, attention or adulation from others.

In this context genuine humility comprises the following behaviors and attitudes:

  • Submitting to God Source as the highest authority to which one gives consent in your actions, words and deeds.
  • Recognizing Virtues and talents that others possess as it is and not envious of those talents, particularly if recognizing those people that may have skill sets that may currently surpass one’s own skill level. Giving due respect or honor of that purpose and when required, discerning when it is important to listen or when to take direction, depending on assessing the current circumstances. Every person has value and spiritual purpose, whether that purpose is actualized in the personality or not, and that potential is up to the person to cultivate a spiritually Krystic infused personality or Christ mind.
  • Recognizing the limits of one’s talents, ability, or authority; and, not reaching for what is beyond practical reality in terms of fantasies, embellishments or magical thinking. This is the difference of being honest when assessing a skill, Personal Competency, or proficiency level. An example, would you refer to yourself as an Olympic Gold swimmer when you are casual swimmer at the community pool? An honest and humble person would state the accurate facts of conditions in the moment as an true representation.
  • This is a part of knowing one self and being authentic and true to yourself, not needing competition with others, but recognizing those skills or proficiencies in people around you that may inspire you or help you to become a better or improved person. Finding value in a person’s proficiencies or recognizing those skills needed in a group setting that are required to support a larger group purpose or serving humanitarian objectives.
  • Humility is a potential part of temperance because temperance includes all those virtues that restrain reactions from our uncontrolled desires. Humility is a required discipline of restraining the lower appetites of impulsivity by refocusing negative emotions. Lack of Impulse Control means that we are easily consumed and controlled by darkness. When we apply humility to the circumstances it helps to refocus our impulses into more productive spiritually healthy behaviors. Humility is defined as, “A quality by which a person considering his own defects has a humble opinion of himself and willingly submits himself to God and to others for God’s sake.” St. Bernard defines it as, “A virtue by which a man knowing himself as he truly is, abases himself to the greater good. Christ is the ultimate definition of Humility.”

NIKKI SAPP: “How To Be Confident While Remaining Humble”

“There’s a thin line between confidence and arrogance… it’s called humility. Confidence smiles, arrogance smirks.”

~Unknown

Somewhere along the line what we recognized as confidence may have been misconstrued a little. We started associating traits like aggressive, loud, opinionated and arrogant with being a confident person. You’ve probably seen the type, or maybe you are the type.

They know FOR SURE that what they believe is the unequivocal truth. Therefore they need to tell everyone about it… constantly.

When they aren’t able to convince someone to believe exactly as they believe they may be caught calling others, “asleep” or a “sheep” or any other plethora of derogatory names that I probably can’t mention here. We also may have misconstrued what it means to be humble a little bit too. Being Humble is associated with weak, shy, meek, and someone who cowers to others.

Someone who is so unsure of themselves or their beliefs that they keep them to themselves and are too insecure to tell everyone they meet their opinion on everything. Is there a way to be both? Can a confident person also be a humble person? In order to answer that question we must dissect what it means to be truly confident, and how does “artificial confidence” come about.

“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself the whole world accepts him or her”

~Lao Tzu

There are many reasons a person may develop artificial/arrogant confidence. One may be cognitive dissonance, which means they may be holding on to a belief so tightly that when evidence is presented that contradicts this belief they may be completely unwilling to look at the new evidence. They may have become so attached to this belief that it has become a part of their sense of self.

Since they are completely attached to who they think they are it may be a painful experience for them to open their mind up and see things from a different perspective. The actual energy behind holding on to a belief so tightly that you are unwilling to let it go is fear.

The human ego is always afraid to be found out, so to speak, therefore, any threat of someone or something coming along and debunking one of its belief attachments may bring about a negative emotional reaction such as anger. Anytime anger is involved we can be assured that fear is the culprit behind it.

Genuine confidence doesn’t need to get angry because there is no part that fears being wrong or that others aren’t believing them. Another reason a person may develop artificial confidence is because they are insecure.

An insecure person may not truly believe in their theory or themselves so they feel if they can convince others that they are absolutely the right one they can at the same time convince themselves.

This is often done in an aggressive manner, because they are attached to the outcome of people believing them. Again, the fear behind not achieving the outcome they desire is causing them to act in a rude or aggressive manner. Genuine confidence can remain quiet, kind and humble because there is no underlying fear that needs other people to believe exactly what they are saying.

Genuine confidence is humble. It kind of realizes that most people are operating from their own level of understanding and trying to convince them that they are “stupid” or “wrong” usually won’t work anyway. The humble part of them realizes that LIVING and BEING their truth is always more effective than incessant talking or convincing ever will be.

Also, humble confidence isn’t attached to being right. In fact, it happily welcomes new ideas and beliefs because it knows that only when it opens itself up to seeing things from all perspectives is it able to perhaps learn something new.

“The time which people spend in convincing others, even half of this time if they spend on themselves, they can achieve a lot in life.”

~Arvind Katoch

In order to maintain humble confidence about our beliefs we must do two things. One is question ourselves….constantly. You may ask yourself, “Do I know absolutely without a doubt that this belief is true?” Meaning, “Did I see it with my own eyes”- normally the answer to this will be no.

So not to say that you won’t have some beliefs about things that involve situations that you weren’t physically there, but it just means that you always maintain a healthy sense of doubt about your beliefs.

This doesn’t mean that you’re unsure of yourself, it means you are wise, because it means you are open to hearing new evidence. Or you can ask yourself, “Is it possible that I am so attached to this belief that it has become a part of who I think I am?” Or even, “Does it matter if the person I am telling about my belief believes me or not? In this present moment does the fact that they are convinced or not convinced change anything in this exact moment in time?”

“Confidence is silent.

Insecurity is loud.”

~Unknown

You may find that most of the time, the answer to that is “no.” The other thing a person can do in order to remain humbly confident in their beliefs is to realize that every person they come in contact with can only understand things from their own level of understanding. Which means they are only operating from their own personal programming which may or may not be completely different than yours.

So yes, there may be times when you tell someone something and you enlighten them to something that they hadn’t thought of before but there will also be times where any effort to convince will fall on deaf ears.

When you are unattached to the outcome, you will be fine with either without getting frustrated or angered. Once we realize that our “truth” may not be someone else’s “truth” we can completely relax into interpersonal relationships and take every interaction with a human being as a potential learning experience, which will allow us to always be learning and growing as a person.

THE MINDS JOURNAL: “5 Things Only An Old Soul Can Fully Understand”

Old Soul

Some people are just old souls and need to be accepted as such. If you are one of the people that gets called crazy for thinking you can feel people’s energy, or a hermit for needing to have time alone, or a ‘weirdo’ for believing in alternative things, the best thing you can do is continue to be true to yourself.

As an old soul, trying to conform to a society that is hollow and spiritually void will only cause you pain and suffering. Don’t let authority figures or institutions pressure you into betraying your passions, desires, and natural state of being.

Here are 5 things that only old souls will understand:

1. THE NEED FOR SECLUSION AND ISOLATION

Every old soul knows the extreme importance of taking time away from life, people, and obligation and spending time alone in isolation. Life can be overwhelming at times, and the energies of other people can be exhausting. Spending time alone in nature, or sitting by yourself on a park bench, or spending all day in your room are things which have become necessary for your spiritual health at times.

Some people may call you a hermit or say that you are socially challenged, but you just know the value of spending time alone to detox, reflect, and nurture yourself.

2. THE DESIRE FOR GROWTH

More than happiness and living comfortably, you want to live a life that encourages growth and expansion. You value growth and experience so much that you are willing to go through pain, suffering, and depression in order to learn more about yourself.

You take risks and go on adventures that other people may think are unwise, but playing it safe is just too boring for you. At the end of your journey here on earth, you would love to have experienced a life full of ups and downs, suffering and joy, and amazing adventures as opposed to having experienced a life playing it safe.

3. BEING HIGHLY OBSERVATIONAL AND INTUITIVE

From a young age, you have been able to get a really good read on people. From watching someone interact for just a few minutes, you are able to identify the characteristics that person would have and the lifestyle they live. It’s almost like you have this software that allows you to look around and download the information on other souls.

This is because you have seen the archetype of that person before in a past life and are familiar with the general behavior and psychology of that archetype. You have interacted with thousands of people throughout the course of your souls history, so there is really no archetype you haven’t interacted with yet.

This doesn’t mean you are judgmental, it just means you are observational. You may find yourself at parties or social gatherings looking around every once in a while checking things out. Watching people interact, observing the exchanges of energy that are occurring during conversation. You may even feel more comfortable as a distant observer than as a participant. It feels natural to you.

Having the ability to get a good read on people has also given you a really good bullsh*t detector. When someone is lying to you, you know it. You notice the disassociation in their eyes, the shift in their energy field, the change in the way they pronounce words. You’ve been through this place many times before, so you aren’t socially naive, even though you may have not had much social interaction in this life. You’ve always been hard to manipulate because you can see into the real intentions and desires of other people. You are just good at feeling people out intuitively.

Some people may call you creepy or think you are a wackjob for trying to be psychic, but it comes naturally to you to pick up on the thoughts and energies of other people.

4. THE REJECTION FOR ANYTHING ‘MAINSTREAM’

Mainstream music is heartless, passionless, and washed up. Mainstream media is polluted, biased, and deceptive. The mainstream lifestyle is dry, boring, and disappointing.  Because you recognize this, you have adopted ‘alternative’ ways of thinking and living that may seen weird to other people.

Personally, I listen to a lot of atmospheric metal and post-rock because it offers me what I desire to receive out of music spiritually and existentially. I can’t stand the radio. I remember showing some people the music I liked and having them reply with “that’s not even music”. I’m sure I’m not alone in knowing what it feels like to feel excluded based on your alternative beliefs, tastes, and preferences.

5. THE APPRECIATION OF THE JOURNEY

You have learned to trust and appreciate the journey. You aren’t trying to be “deep”, you simply can’t help but be overwhelmed at times with feelings of gratitude, thankfulness, and humility.

You understand that life is impermanent and don’t take anything for granted. Others around you don’t understand why you like spending time in nature so much, why you meditate so often, or why you stare at the stars all the time, but that’s because they are simply too distracted with worldly matters to see the big picture.

If you identify with any or all of these 5 things, then you can be sure that you are either mature beyond your years or you have lived a life or two on this planet in the past. The vast majority of the human population does not understand these 5 things, and actually takes pleasure in ridiculing and making fun of those who don’t seem to fit in.

You aren’t trying to be different, psychic, intuitive, or deep. Your soul is just hardwired a different way. Don’t let anybody tell you that you need to change to fit the expectations of the world around you. The world doesn’t need more carbon copies. It needs more individuals following the things that make their souls come alive.
