CONSCIOUS REMINDER: “Owning A Cat — Proven To Be Good For Your Health”

The cat is a furry, cute, fun, as well as an independent animal to watch. Also, there are some benefits proven by science which say that owning a cat will be good for the person’s overall health and well-being.

These are some of the benefits you can gain if you are a cat owner:

Lowered risks of heart diseases.

The risks of heart diseases will be lowered as there will also be lower stress levels. Some studies proved that being a cat owner will lower your risk of different heart disease problems, which include stroke.

According to one such study, a person that owns a cat has 30% fewer chances to die from stroke or heart attack than those that don’t own. Even though there is still the question if that is because of the cat or because often calmer individuals are the ones that love to own a cat.

Purring has a therapeutic healing ability on the human muscles or bones.

Despite the fact that purring is considered as one of the best and most comforting sounds in the whole world, it was also connected with some therapeutic ability of healing on the human muscles and bones for a long time.

According to some studies, the frequencies in 18 and 35HZ range actually have some positive effects on the joint mobility at a time after some injury. The purr of a cat also creates some positive vibrations at frequencies of 20 to 140HZ, hence placing the noise within the area of healing.

People will have a better sleep in the presence of a cat.

According to a few studies, people will have quite improved sleep in the presence of a cat, instead of another human companion. And not just that, but they prefer that. Such findings have been confirmed by the Mayo Clinic Center for Sleep Medicine.

According to it, about 41% of the people claimed that they had a better sleep as a result of the pet they own, and just 20% of them said that it often leads to some disturbances.

When a man owns a cat, a woman will feel more attracted to him.

According to certain researches which were conducted by Dr. June McNicholas, who is also a lead pet researcher, when a man owns a cat, a woman will feel more attracted to him.

A huge 90% of those women that are single perceived men owning cats or some other pets nicer, as well as more caring, instead of the ones that don’t own any.

Triggering the release of some calming chemicals.

When a person has a cat in his or her presence, it is going to activate the releasing of some calming or relaxing chemicals in their body, which will lower anxiety and stress levels. So, petting is considered to have to relax and also calming effects.

A lesser likelihood of allergies in children below one year.

The National Institutes of Health has released one study in 2002 which has discovered that those kids that are under the age of one, and who were also exposed to cats, have a lesser likelihood of developing different types of allergies.

This exposure to pet early in their life will protect them against not just allergies to pets, but a lot of other kinds of frequent allergies like the ones to mites, dust, grass or ragweed.

Watching cat videos will make you happy.

The simple act of watching cat videos will make you feel more satisfied and happier. One study which included more than 7,000 participants, conducted by the Indiana University Bloomington, has discovered that simply watching videos of cats is going to boost the energy, as well as positive feelings and emotions of viewers, while also decreasing the negative ones.

When a person owns a cat, it is excellent for the entire environment.

If you own a cat, it means that it is quite better for your environment. One study from 2008 has discovered that all the resources which are needed to feed one dog during his lifetime will create similar eco-footprint just like those of a Land Cruiser.

On the other hand, cats eat less, so they have such the approximate carbon footprint of a smaller hatchback.

Helping people to cope with some loss.

When a person owns a cat, it is going to help him or her cope better with some loss, as well as recover for a short time from it. They are like some type of social support at hard times.

A person can simply talk to eat more easily than with someone else, and tell his or her cat everything as it will never respond or even judge him as humans do.

Those that own cats are smart individuals.

Most often, those that own cats are smart individuals. In fact, it is not actually the cat which makes them smarter, but it is because those people work for longer periods of time, and as cats do not require a lot of attention as dogs do, they are an excellent choice for busy people.

Fulfilling the need of a companion.

Cats will simply fulfill the person’s need of companionship, as one Austrian research from 2003 discovered. According to it, owning a pet, often cats, in your home is actually an emotional equivalent to an emotional partner.

Cats save lives.

Cats are also well-known for saving lives. So, having an animal which can actually save your life in a certain situation may come in handy.

JESSICA KLASSEN: “Allowing Nature To Be The Example For Our Children’s Bright Future”

“If we look at Nature, we see that absolutely everything within it is important and there for a reason. As we are all a part of Nature, this means that we are important and here for a reason as well.”

This is one of the key lessons that I teach, not only to my own 3 children, but to all of the children that I meet when I am touring with my book, “The Sapling.”

There is nothing within Nature that happens by accident.  It is all planned and perfection.  We are the same.  There are no accidental or extra people on this Earth.

We all arrive with a gift to share, which is why it is so important that we grow into who we truly are, just like a tree, for example.  Because if a tree did not grow into their full potential, we would all be denied their gifts, and look at how many of us would suffer.  The rest of the world actually depends on us being true to ourselves.

And what about those people of the world who don’t seem to be contributing?

They are simply not in touch with who they really are and the true desires of their heart.  When we turn to Nature and truly connect with the Earth, we become centered, grounded, and compassionate human beings.  It is hard to deny our Soul’s longing within the authenticity of Nature.

“The Sapling” follows the journey of a little tree who feels small in a big world and becomes afraid to grow.  With the encouragement of her friend, the Big Tree, she realizes there is nothing to fear and becomes the Tree she is meant to be.

As I’ve been touring schools, libraries, and daycares, I have been sharing this story as well as the lessons in energy and Nature communication.  I absolutely love connecting with children and feel that I am learning more than I am teaching.  I am happy to say that I have been pleasantly surprised at most places.  I can see that the parents and teachers have been making Nature a priority within these children’s lives.  These children are open and happy.

In others, unfortunately, even the children have become jaded and cynical, convinced that all that exists is what they can see, and even this is with a negative slant.  This, of course, is no fault of their own.  When I tell them that trees can talk to us, or that it was the trees who shared the idea for my book with me, they blurt out “that’s impossible!”

Such a sad statement from a little mouth.  This is the time of their life when they should be reinforced with the knowledge that all things are possible.

Many schools and daycare centers are taking regular Nature walks and implementing gardens.  I truly appreciate these wonderful teachers who are making the basic life skills and birthright of growing our own food a priority.  Especially for the children who are not fortunate enough to learn these skills at home.

I have actually had some children ask me, “why would you grow it yourself when you can just go buy it?”  When I reply that the veggies from the garden, either theirs or a local grower, are not only tastier but are more nutritious because they are fresh and grown in kinder conditions, they look at me as though I am some sort of alien.

I have been left questioning the motives of some teachers who are discouraging having gardens for the students because they “don’t have time” or “can’t be bothered.”  Is the role of a teacher not to teach?  Learning how to connect with the Earth and grow your own food, literally reap what you sow and see the rewards of your efforts, should be the basis of all curriculum.  Where would any of us be without nutritous food?

I was speaking with a group of students recently, aged 12-14, and teaching them about Energy and how important healthy food is to maintain a harmonious and balanced life.

Their teacher, a morbidly obese woman, was sitting at her desk during this lesson, sucking on a can of Coca-Cola, proudly declaring that she was diabetic.

Thankfully, her students looked as disgusted as I was.

In my opinion, she should not be allowed to have this kind of toxic influence upon children.  Not only that, I feel that if you know what is bad for you and you still refuse to clean up your lifestyle, you should be denied healthcare in regards to the health issue that you yourself are denying taking action towards reversing.  If you want to willingly poison yourself and destroy the vessel you were granted, go for it.  But I shouldn’t have to pay for it. I haven’t visited a doctor in years, and it is not just because I was blessed with good health.  I have made a conscious, daily lifestyle choice to honor and respect my body.

In Canada we have free health care, which is a wonderful thing for some, but has also allowed others to be irresponsible.  When you are hurt in an automobile accident and take disability because you are unable to work, you are watched quite closely to ensure that you are not “cheating the system.”  Perhaps the same should happen to those with diagnosed health issues.  They should be monitored to ensure they are following a plan of exercise and healthy diet, rather than happily taking the prescriptions and not changing anything else.

Needless to say, it is obvious that many of our teachers need to be de-programmed from our dysfunctional society.

I often ask Nature what needs to be shared, or what we need to know.  The most recent message I was given was in regards to communicating with Nature, as well as with our own Souls.  I was told, “The clearer your energy, the easier it will be.  Think about it.  How well can you communicate with someone who is drunk or stoned?  This is how many of you appear.”

I take it that Nature sees many of us in a stupor, either from unhealthy food with additives and preservatives, drugs, both prescription and recreational, as well as our environment and unhealthy habits, be it smoking, gossip, or attachments to drama.

I absolutely love the way in which Nature speaks; straightforward and no-nonsense.

And this leads to Nature’s next message;

“Life’s only requests are that we show up and give our best.”

So how do we show up and give our best?

Bringing awareness to our Energy has become the basis of my teachings now, both with children and Nature Communication workshops.

Basically, we need to clean ourselves up first.  This is how we will rise to our greatest potential.  The Trees shared with me the importance of humanity understanding their Energy, and to become aware of what they were putting out into the world, and what they were taking in.

Some basics that I share to help others notice their Energy and bring it into/maintain balance:

Earthing:

Getting outside and noticing the natural world around us does wonders for our Energy bodies, and especially if we can do so in barefeet.  As we are natural conductors, being that we are mostly made of water, we need to ground this energy out, and unless we are barefoot on the Earth, it is very hard to do.

When I make my visits, most kids LOVE to be barefoot, but many reply that their mothers do not allow it.  Sometimes it is because they once happened to step on a bee or got a sliver.  These random occurrences should not keep us from connecting with the Earth and absorbing her healing energies.  Earthing has been proven to release inflammation from our bodies and reduce the risk of many common diseases, such as cancer.

In cold climates, such as Canada, going barefoot year round is not an option, but we have other ways we can ground our energy.  Simply placing our hands upon a tree or a rock and asking them to ground us will do the trick as well.  Grounding also helps us to release the energy of others that we have picked up as well.

Eating Healthy:

As mentioned earlier, eating healthy, living food, especially if it was grown yourself, is the greatest gift you can give to your body.  Also, do yourself a favour and toss the microwave.  They really do just scramble the Energy of our food and kill it.  What is left is a toxic “filler” that will not nourish you, but instead slowly poison you.

Love Yourself:

As love is the most powerful energy of all, self-love keeps our energy bright and strong, fending off illness and revealing the true purpose of our hearts.  It allows us to overcome all fears and obstacles.  I would have never followed through with publishing my book if it was not for the daily practice of repeating “I love myself”, as well as looking myself in the eyes in front of a mirror while saying it.  It truly moves mountains.  Just as Nature has self-love and total confidence in her abilities, so should we.

Clean Environment:

Whether this is your home, your habits, or the people in your life, your environment should reflect the inner work that you are doing.  Also, turn off wi-fi when you can, and limit time spent on all gadgets.  When I place my hand near a device with wi-fi, it literally hurts.  Our children are far more sensitve than we are, so even if they don’t realize it, it’s hurting them.

Understanding Energy:

Understanding the basics of Energy, such as, what we put out we attract back to ourselves.  When the Trees shared this importance with me, they showed me how we all have these many pathways extending out from ourselves, much like the branches of a tree.  As many of us are unaware of what we are putting out there, or “feeding” we often attract and create more situations that are unfavorable without even realizing it.  These pathways of Energy are similar to a stream of water.  We can stop feeding them and dry them up, or we can feed them and make them like a raging river.  It is truly our choice what kind of pathways we wish to feed.

It is also important that we understand that Energy never dies, it only transforms.

I recently once again learned this lesson.  It was in regards to a stand of Oak trees that I tried desperately to save from being bulldozed.  Sadly, I didn’t succeed.  Not long ago I drove by where they used to stand and I felt that same pain in my heart for them.  I felt that I had failed them.  Then I was suddenly flooded with the awareness that all of my fighting and tears that I cried was not in vain.  That Energy was not lost.  It is now fueling and supporting the work I am doing with “The Sapling.”  It is strengthening my reach and the message of the trees.

Change the Way You Look at Nature and Yourself:

When we learn to observe without judgement and with appreciation for what we see, Nature quickly reveals that what you look at will change for the better.  Wildlife will be attracted to you, people will surprise you in the greatest of ways, and you will do the same when you start to look at yourself this way.

We know when someone looks at us in a special way, and we naturally respond.  I remember how my grandparents used to look at me with such wonder and gratitude.  And I feel that I was often the brightest version of myself in their presence.  Nature will do the same. It is as though she says, “Well if you think that is beautiful, then check this out!”

As I spend more and more time with more and more children, I realize that they know all of this but simply need the permission to feel it.  To be reassured that magic is real and is found in the natural world all around us, and therefore within us as well.  This is why I will have them feel their energy body within their hands.  In this way they can feel something without seeing it.

I love watching their faces light up as they exclaim, “I can feel it!”  They will share how their hands are either tingling, pulling, throbbing, being pulled together or throwing off sparks.  I let them know that there is no wrong way to feel it, as everyone is different and unique.  And even if they don’t feel it in their hands, it’s likely that they feel their energy flowing in their scalp, their feet, or in their chest.

It is fun to know that Nature can feel our Energy, either within our touch, our thoughts, our words, or even when we look at it.  And the most comforting thing that I have learned is that Nature longs to feel us, our touch, and to absorb our Light.  We are truly meant for one another, and living in harmony is possible once again for humanity to achieve, so long as our our children, the next caretakers, understand that this is not only possible, but necessary for our happiness and continued life upon this Earth.

I love teaching children that they have an impact on the world-as everything they think, say, feel, and do is Energy, and therefore affects the world around them.

I like to ask, “what kind of impact would you like to have on the world?”

As Nature keeps us in true, uninterrupted contact with our Highest potential, I find it no surprise that in all legends and many stories from our ancestry, that the “wise ones, wizards, and healers” almost always lived in seclusion in the woods.  In this way, they stayed true to what was important, away from the programming and trappings of society.

They were able to commune with Nature and hear her wisdom, and in this way, help others.

The time for change is now.  Nature is here to assist and help us through this window if we are willing.

She wants us to succeed and rise to our greatest potential, as she can see us, the true us that is Divine.  She hurts for what we have become just as any parent would hurt for their children.

It is my hopes that all children never lose their sense of wonder and the knowing that this world is a magical place to be, so long as they keep their eyes, ears, and heart open to the truth.

I hope that you have found this helpful!  I would love to hear from you via my website http://www.jessieklassen.com.  While there, feel free to sign up for my free weeklyish newsletter where I share my lessons and experiences from living a life close to Nature.

ZOE DAVENPORT: “Understanding Our Divine Feminine And Divine Masculine Energies”

divine masculine and feminine (2).jpg

Our fullest potential is found in weaving and balancing the energies of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine. The universal laws of existence understand the yin and yang flow of life, we were once balanced but have been trying to get back to that point ever since.

Throughout history, the male energy has been harnessed and the has been oppressed. The feminine needs to balance the equation again for mankind can no longer continue with this unrest, unbalance and disregard for each other.

When the divine masculine is harnessed positively, mankind can collectively continue with its progress but it is a progress comprised of something far greater, far more loving, logical, harmonious, peaceful and more in favor of the planet and its inhabitants.

We all have the essence of both Divine feminine and masculine energy within.

Our Divine Feminine

A fully healthy divine feminine is kind, caring, loving, compassionate, considerate and loyal. Her intuitive approach guides us through life holding space to be nurtured and understand ourselves more and more each day.

She communicates effectively through our bodies, emotions and thoughts and it is important to listen tentatively and lovingly at all times. When she is out of balance we do not listen to intuition. We lose the ability to love ourselves or have respect. When we are connected to our divine feminine energy we will feel more nourished and supported. She will open ideas, wisdom and opportunities for us. She supports new ideas from seed to fruition.

Our Divine Masculine

This is where we need partnership and balance with the divine masculine to keep the divine feminine on track in her intuition and creative flow, with direction and purpose.

A fully healthy divine masculine is courageous, fearless and loyal. He honors and respects the divine feminine and helps her take gentle direct action through kindness. When in balance he does no harm to himself or others. His strength and power is used for the greater good. He honors the divine female and is in gratitude for the balance, for the two energies combined together harnesses both true potential.

When we are out of balance

The combination of an unhealthy feminine and masculine is one of mistrust, imbalance, misunderstanding, power struggle judgement, lack of support and ego. We are mirrored these traits everyday through the energy demonstrated through other people.

“A sacred union can heal, love and create anything”

The love from this sacred union will harness our full potential as individuals but also our full potential in our relationships and on this planet. We will enjoy emotional freedom and watch as our biggest ideas come to fruition for our collective evolution. We will seek to only uplift and compliment each other through our physical form and collective experiences.

How to balance the two

Self-awareness and recognition of our strengths and weaknesses. Self-awareness in the patterns being presented to us through ALL our current and previous partners, friends, co-workers and all who cross our paths. Recognizing when we are in yang energy if this is serving our need for rest? Recognizing when we are in yin energy if this is serving our need to take action? Tuning in on a regular basis, and understanding the need to surrender to all of who we are.

Our feminine will honor and guide the masculine both in understanding, partnership, and yin yang. The balance will no longer be tipped over in the masculine, and our evolution of consciousness will continue to grow in expression of the divine light.

I love you all

LOVE LIGHT ABUNDANCE

Zoe
