ALETHEIA LUNA: “4 Popular Myths About Being An Empath”

Thin-skinned, hyper-sensitive, sooky, wimpy, spineless, wussy, feeble, weak, fragile, melodramatic, temperamental…

If you can relate to, or have been called a combination of any of these words, chances are you’re part of a unique group of people: the Empaths.

Occurring in an estimated 5% of the population, Empaths are known for their highly developed ability to sense the emotions and thoughts of the people around them. As author and empath Christel Broederlow put it “empaths often possess the ability to sense others on many different levels”, this includes the abilities to intimately understand what a person desires, yearns for, and is currently feeling, suffering or thinking, as well as the ability to feel other people’s bodily illnesses. These occurrences manifest themselves as energy vibrations that the finely tuned empath can pick up on, or “tune into”.

Commonly identifying as clairsentients and HSP’s, Empaths possess an ability that is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, the empath is an excellent listener and counselor, knowing the best way to comfort and assist those around them. On the other, being an empath can be painful and tiring. It’s common for the empath to be weighed down and constantly congested with the negative emotional energy of others, often creating physical and psychological disharmony.

Although the empath has a wonderful gift, and is often greatly cherished by those around them, they are often challenged and confronted by a variety of misguided perceptions towards their innate gift.

Myths & Misunderstandings

“You need to grow some thicker skin! Stop being so overly sensitive.” I wish I could tell you how many times I heard that in my childhood! Growing up as an empath, you may have experienced similar insults from your parents, friends or peers, and perhaps even worse.

It’s not at all trendy or popular to be sensitive or feeling in our society that values efficiency, cold calculation and industrial resilience. Therefore, you may have experienced and still experience, a lot of antagonism towards your behavior as an Empath. I will explore 4 of these main misconceptions below.

Myth #1 – Empaths are navel-gazing and self-absorbed.

Truth – We often focus more on others than on ourselves.

It’s true that Empaths are often unexplainably moody and quiet on the outside. However, this isn’t because they’re excessively absorbed thinking too much about themselves and their feelings. Rather, the empath is often deeply affected by the exterior emotions of others that he experiences as his own. The empath’s ability to intuitively feel the feelings of others is what weighs him down so much. In fact, it’s characteristic of the empath to pay more attention to others needs than his own.

Myth #2 – Empaths are mentally ill.

Truth – We are magnets for negative energy. This often creates psychological disbalance within us.

Empaths are excellent listeners, confidants and counselors. For this reason, it’s common for people to be drawn towards their sincere and caring natures, almost like magnets. Therefore, empaths often experience a lot of “emotional baggage dumping” from other people, and have difficult releasing themselves from the negative energy that remains in their minds and bodies afterwards.

Unfortunately, this can lead to a lot of lingering depressive emotions that the empath is left with. Thus, the empath can appear to be mentally ill and depressed, and in some cases legitimately is. However, in most cases the empath is congested with remnants of harmful emotional energy, like sinuses are congested with mucus during a flu virus.

The root of the problem doesn’t lie with the empath , it’s a result of their outer emotional climate.

Myth #3 – Empaths are psychologically frail.

Truth – We are biologically programmed to be more sensitive and in tune with our surrounding environment.

As empath Nicole Lawler wrote, Empaths are essentially “walking around in this world with all the accumulated karma, emotions, and energy from others”. Understandably, this results in a lot of inner emotional tension for the empath who is more prone to crying and exhibiting other signs of “weakness”.

Additionally, the empath finds it extremely difficult to partake in many “normal” activities. For instance, watching a movie about Nazi concentration camps is extremely emotionally upsetting for the empath , and getting a job in an office is overwhelming and tiring for the empath who is bombarded with other people’s emotions constantly. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the empath is often perceived as “wussy”, “frail” or “weak minded” to the person who fails to comprehend the constant pressure the empath lives under.

The fact that most empaths aren’t driven clinically insane by the constant emotional flux they experience is testimony enough to their mental strength.

Myth #4 – Empaths are lazy.

Truth – We often lack mental, emotional and physical energy due to our intense empathetic ability to understand others.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) amongst other physical issues like headaches, insomnia and Fibromyalgia, have all been commonly attributed to Empaths.

If our minds are constantly overloaded with stress, tension and pressure, it therefore translates that our bodies are as well. This often results in sicknesses such as the ones mentioned above. Thus empaths often lack the energy and therefore desire to do many things, preferring to relax (including taking naps) instead.

ALEXANDER PAPAGEORGHIOU: “How To Be A REAL Man In 5D — The New Masculinity”

“In this new age we speak of truth, of the veil lifting and whatever is being left is what was always there. Whatever man one is today, and I speak as a man who has gone full circle on this issue, he was once a boy, he cried, he feared, and he was comforted by a woman who shielded him from harm, who loved him, and taught him she would be there if he ever needed her, his mother. That same boy never went away. He lives in every man.”

~Alexander Papageorghiou

Throughout our lives in the Third Dimension, we have gotten to know a monosyllabic, rugged, brutal, and often cold side of masculinity which has stayed engraved in us. It has become synonymous with our heroes, on the silver screen, in sports, and in our personal lives. 3D Man has been extolled for, or expected to be strong, unwavering, in control and able to deal with any situation. Emotions have been branded as something that must be totally internalized. Showing them has become equitable with weakness and femininity.

Over the years this notion has become engraved in our psyches, whether we like to accept it or not, and thus become as real as we have allowed to be. This perception was manufactured by the society of that time and we have succumbed to this false ideology. We can see it the world over, the mere notion that men are a certain way and women must be a certain way, dictated by gender roles, themselves a fabrication of the 3D male ego. Unfortunately for this old energy, the world has changed, a paradigm shift has occurred, and it now finds itself obsolete, grasping for its last breath.

Our Gender roles are morphing with the Ascension, the judgement, the pressure to be a certain way and the total lie that all this is, is being revealed more day after day. The Male EGO from 3D is being seen as more and more juvenile in its desire to control, rule and avoid accepting its own faults.

The truth is simple and unveiled in 5D. All beings on this planet have emotions, they all experience sadness, love, loneliness. The notion that a real man has to be above all that is the notion that he must be inhuman, since all these things are exactly what makes us human. All these emotions are synonymous with weakness in this faulty mindset, emotions are feminine and femininity, in a man’s eyes, takes a negative connotation. Overall, the 3D Male EGO has been very unevolved and simplistic for the last 5000 years, it couldn’t envision the truth, that emotion is strength, love is strength, and honesty with oneself, the willingness to address the darkest parts of our psyche and to face the real pain, that is the truest form of strength that can exist. The 3D strength exists only in the most superficial of ways and will erode at the first sight of deep emotional upset. In that sense, women immediately have the benefit, the conviviality, the sisterhood, and they do not fear that ever-pervasive word which all men run from at one point or another: LOVE.

In this new age we speak of truth, of the veil lifting and whatever is being left is what was always there. Whatever man one is today, and I speak as a man who has gone full circle on this issue, he was once a boy, he cried, he feared, and he was comforted by a woman who shielded him from harm, who loved him, and taught him she would be there if he ever needed her, his mother. That same boy never went away. He lives in every man. How the male ego, before the Ascension, created and accepted that sentiment, love, and femininity were suddenly a weakness is a mystery, the same energy that brought them into this world, raised them and safeguarded them for so many years.

In every man lives a woman and in every woman lives a man. We are inseparable. The Source has no gender identity. We are merely experiencing this reality in this polarity this time around. Men who wish to evolve and progress with Ascension must accept their right-brain, their femininity, the stream of love, not as a negative thing but as the salvation of their spirit, as the nutrition their heart has needed for so, so long. They need to shed this fear of being vulnerable and accept that by breaking through this they can address the issues that haunt them at their deepest core, and be liberated finally. It is infinitely more difficult to be a man who is honourable, accountable, vulnerable, loving, flexible and willing to change through introspection, than to be a hyper-masculine, bullheaded, closed-off, pugilistic archetypal MAN. There is more juvenile in than man than anything else, and the time to grow up is right now.

A man wrote this, and he has been through the full cycle. It isn’t easy, but nothing real ever is. It is the most gratifying and liberating thing he has ever done. He is now free of the pressure of being what he thought he needed to be a “man”.

Much Love,

Alexander

MATEO SOL: “5 Things Every Sensitive Man Should Know”

If you have grown up as a male in our society you’ve been taught one very clear message: emotions are a weakness, big boys don’t cry.

Being “strong” means you have to be forceful, aggressive, competitive and largely unemotional. If for some reason you are born sensitive, cooperative and compassionate, you are perceived as “weak,” “effeminate” or “weird.”

Throughout history, men have gained their identity, peer respect and self-worth through status, sexual prowess and money all of which contributed to their sense of power. In a physically demanding hunter-gatherer and agricultural world, men had to be the warriors that shouldered the responsibility of providing for their families. But now as women have become more independent with our society shifting to value mental labor over physical labor, men are struggling to let go of their old warrior habits and role dynamics.

However, regardless of our external bodies and sexual orientations, we all carry differing degrees of masculine and feminine energy. Some people will carry equal amounts, others will carry more of one than of the other (which might oppose their physical bodies), as can be seen in females referred to as “tomboys” and sensitive men.

It saddens me to see so many fellow men who outright ignore their sensitivity, or are aware of it but choose to reject or hide it. Many people associate sensitivity with neuroticism or low self-esteem, and courage with “numbing the pain.” Sensitivity and courage are not mutually exclusive. To be sensitive is to be aware of the feelings and perspectives of other people as well as your own. To be courageous means to be completely aware and to feel fear yet to still fight for what you feel is right or what you want.

In fact sensitivity and courage can compliment each other; the greater your sensitivity and fear is, the greater your courage has to be to fight through it.

In psychology, Carl Jung was aware of the differences between masculine and feminine energy, and divided them into his Anima and Animus Archetypes. Personally, I’ve found that by embracing my sensitivity as a male and using it alongside my logic and courage, I have become a much wholer human being. In the end, to be intelligent is useless unless you can combine it with sensitivity. When intelligence is filtered through sensitivity, it becomes wisdom.

5 Things Every Sensitive Man Should Know

Here are some vital lessons I’ve learned as a sensitive man that I want to pass on:

1. Sensitivity Helps You to Grow Deeper Connections

When a man is capable of transforming his insecurity about being sensitive into something empowering, it can allow him to create deeper connections with others. For instance, I’ve found that when I go beyond simply sharing factual information and opinions with my male friends, I see a whole new side to them which is more meaningful and creates a deeper long-term bond.

2. Sensitivity Encourages Emotional Maturity

I feel that the evolution of men will be one towards a balance of strength and sensitivity. One of the biggest struggles for men in relationships is to openly express their emotions or show vulnerability. This emotional distancing is done to display “strength,” but quite often the more sensitive female lover perceives this as ambivalence, being “unavailable” or even a phobia towards commitment. To be able to give love, show love and receive love freely is incredibly attractive.

3. Sensitivity Makes You More Body-Conscious

Sensual awareness is not limited to sex (although it does make you a better lover), but rather, it extends to the body as well. The greater your sensitivity is to your body and its senses, the more you’ll learn about yourself, the better you’ll be able to take care of yourself, and the healthier you’ll feel. However, I’ve observed that often many sensitive male students of mine have tried to drown their emotions out with food as an unconscious buffer.

As a sensitive man, I’ve discovered a variety of foods that I can feel my body quickly rejects by making me feel subtly ill. I’ve also learned that having long hair not only allows me to express my Anima externally, but it also serves as an extension of my nervous system amplifying my empathic senses. It’s no surprise that the Incas, Mayas, the Samurai and the Native Americans were aware of this (the latter using their hair almost like “antennae.”)

4. Sensitivity Allows You to Become More Creative

Creativity is not the result of logical empirical deduction, it is the child of playfulness and sensitivity. Creativity is born in the right side of the brain instead of the left.

To be a painter, writer, musician, actor, photographer or anything creative requires a sensitivity towards beauty and emotion.

5. Sensitivity Helps You to Grow Spiritually

A thirst for wisdom and truth can only come to those who possess a spiritual sensitivity. To strive toward a better society and the peace of man demands an immense amount of courage to stand up against the status quo and a great spiritual sensitivity to question it.

Jesus, Buddha, the Dalai Lama, Mahatma Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr. were all figures who possessed this quality to speak the truth and question cultural morality, virtue and justice. Many people who have embraced their sensitivity will know that they are often the ones whom their friends come to, to ask for counsel and advice.

How to Embrace Your Sensitivity

In our society men are rarely taught how to express their feelings, and so it can be very difficult to know where or how to begin. In fact, if you are like most men, you’ll find it difficult to even become aware of what you’re feeling in the first place, e.g. how the mood of your boss may be affecting you, or how the stress from your busy schedule is making you short-tempered. And when someone asks how you are, you are so disconnected from your emotions that you’ll resort to the habitual “I’m fine,” making it harder for anyone to provide any support.

Ignoring feelings won’t making them disappear though, in fact, the more we ignore our feelings the larger they’ll grow. I’ve often seen men who appear to be well and calm before they burst out in an explosion of anger or rage when something bad happens. It’s often these very same men who become isolated and depressed due to their tendency to avoid and limit their social contact to avoid emotional vulnerability.

How do we embrace our sensitivity? Recognizing and accepting ourselves as sensitive men is the first step. No matter what “macho” ideals you’ve been taught, sensitivity is a gift, not a weakness. To be more empathetic and to be able to appreciate art, music and beauty, is a blessing. While burying our feelings is certainly easier, acknowledging our feelings helps us to empower ourselves which requires much more courage, and is a lot more rewarding. Can you imagine how many wars and ecological forms of destruction could have been avoided if we all cultivated greater sensitivity?

The next step is to examine your feelings about sensitivity. Is it a “weakness” or some kind of illness to you? You’ll have to change the core beliefs you hold about masculine sensitivity in order to accept it. Only after this can you integrate aspects of your sensitivity into your daily life. You can do this by changing your old habits of ignoring or hiding your sensitivity and instead decide to slowly process through them, expressing them to yourself and your trusted loved ones.

It takes time and effort, but changing our personal paradigms is essential in order to embrace our own sense of personal power. It’s time to change this outdated male ideal of aggressiveness, thick-skin and emotional retardation. By empowering sensitive men with self-confidence, we’ll all contribute to a more peaceful, balanced and healthy planet.

Once you become aware of your feelings and have learned to express them, you’ll begin drawing loving people into your life, you’ll be able to help others through their own problems, and you’ll be able to feel as though every part of you is living life to the fullest.

SPIRITUAL UNITE: “Are You An Empath Or Clairsentient?”

pineal-gland-600x372

Description of an empath: Empath is someone who can sense and feel emotions and energies of other people, animals and even objects.

Description of a clairsentient: Someone who is clairsentient can perceive energy using physical sensations, which includes a individual’s aura and vibrations (words and voice). They also have the ability to sense the presence of non-physical entities such as ghosts.

Clear Feeling And Clear Sensing

Another term for clairsentience is clear feeling or clear sensing. This ability is within an empath’s capability of sensing and feeling another person’s energy and emotions. They also have the ability to read residual emotions on objects, which is known as psychometry.

If you are someone who can detect energy within the space. You can detect energy even when no one is around, or even when they don’t display any emotions. Then it is likely you are also clairsentient and not just an empath.

The following sensations will manifest if you are an empath and clairsentient:

  • You have the ability to feel what another person is feeling even when they don’t display any emotion.
  • You feel anxiety in a place or around a person for no apparent reason.
  • Sometimes you feel heavy when you meet someone or walk into a room.
  • You can sense when people are holding back their emotions.
  • You experience a sudden change in mood.
  • You can sense the presence of the non-physical entity.
  • You feel uncomfortable in crowded places.
  • You get that headache feeling or pressure around your head.

If you’re an empath and clairsentient and you have worked out how to manage your abilities and to protect yourself from negative experiences, you can achieve a lot with your ability.

Tuning Into Your Ability

Being in this physical world, you will always have the capacity to tune into your extrasensory gifts, which is clairsentience. However many of us don’t follow our intuitions because they don’t seem logical or can be proven. You will probably sit up and notice when your intuition was in fact correct.

Develop Your Gut Feelings

When you listen to your gut feelings, you have another great source of information. Your gut feelings come from a higher version of yourself, which is a form of psychic connection with your higher self. Some gut feelings can also originate from the surroundings you are in, an example would be, you are in a place you don’t get a good feeling about it and think you should leave.

The only way to develop your gut feelings is to follow them. I’m sure you have been in a situation where you had two options, the first felt more logical to you and the other you had an excellent feeling. Later you discovered the logical option never worked out for you.

When you are actively developing your gut feelings, you become more attuned to it and trust it more often. Which then open up your clairsentient ability to feel, seek and know.

Sensing Others

Practice sensing other people’s energy, each day when you are out and about, and you are walking past strangers, practice sensing and see if you can feel the positive or negative energy. What is the energy you get from them? You can do the same with groups of people in a social environment, do their energy differ? Practice this and simply start to tune into others when you encounter them to learn what it feels like to sense others.

Empaths be like...

ESSENCENTRAL: “Intuition 101: Connection”

5234fdd0a110bb57807d18b54e67acec (3).jpg

Intuition is often a spontaneous thing.  It floats in randomly and before you know it, it’s gone again.

What if I told you it doesn’t have to be a random occurrence?

The thing is, our intuition, like any other muscle, can be exercised and strengthened.  It is absolutely possible to be connected to our intuition in each and every moment, provided we are willing to embrace the gift of this inherent inner wisdom.  We don’t have to wait until adversity hits or a big decision is to be made.  We have the ability to live fully from this place of intuitive knowledge each day, allowing our inner GPS to guide us throughout the day’s events — from choosing what to eat, what to wear, who to spend time with, what kind of music to listen to, and how best to take care of ourselves that day.  We can be fully and completely present, living purposefully and authentically rather than being on autopilot and blindly moving through our days.

Our intuition is always working.  It’s always sneaking in little hints — things like, “You should call ___” or “___ would be fun to learn.”  Those tend to be the easiest ones to follow through on.

It’s the harder ones that our ego steps in on and sabotages us in creating a happier and more fulfilling life.  “This job is not right for you” or “This relationship is not healthy” can bring up a lot of ego fear and subsequently a lack of follow through.  Fear of change is a huge block to our intuition and can cripple the connection to our inner guidance and wisdom.  We must learn to trust that any fear that comes up pertaining to change is moving us towards that which we desire and to move with it faithfully and courageously.

More things that block our intuition are:

  1. Over-thinking
  2. Cultural conditioning to disregard feelings
  3. Fear, worry, or doubt
  4. Expectations/Attachments/Control issues
  5. Judgments
  6. Distrust of self
  7. Looking outside for answers
  8. Stress
  9. Rigid belief systems
  10. Lack of quiet time

If any of these resonate with you (your intuition told you so!), I would suggest working on your block(s) first.  You’ll have the space and freedom to work with your intuition fully without anything hindering your connection and practice.  In regard to stress and a lack of quiet time, we are always going to run into those blocks.  The important thing is to make a conscious choice to do what you can with what you have to give yourself what you need.  If you’re stressed, take time out to do something that relaxes you and feels good. If you have a lack of quiet time, make the decision to incorporate a small window in your day that is solely for peace and quiet.  If you truly want a deep and fulfilling connection to your intuition, there is no excuse! 🙂

Connecting to Our Intuition

There are a multitude of ways to connect to our intuition.  Today, I’ll share 10 different exercises and tools to do so.

It’s important to remember that with all of these, we have to learn to come to a space of quiet.  The best and easiest way to do this is to simply focus on our breath.  Take long, slow, deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  With each breath, move your attention away from your head and into your heart.  Breathe and hold that space as you become aware of the love and wisdom your heart holds for you.  This is how it feels when you’re connected.  Watch for this feeling throughout these exercises.

  1. Start small.  As I mentioned earlier, we don’t have to wait until a huge decision needs to be made in order to connect with our intuition.  Start small.  Consult your inner voice or feeling when deciding what you should wear, what you should eat for lunch, or what music to listen to on your way to your next destination.  Act on it and witness the shifts that take place within your psyche and emotional body when you follow what your intuition is sharing with you.
  2. Pay attention.  This is a big one.  Pay attention to any intuitive hits — ie. “random” thoughts, feelings or visions — you receive and keep them in mind.  It may even help to have a “hunch journal” in which you can put all your hunches or gut feelings down in one place.  Look back at it at the end of every week and reflect on whether any of them were on point.  Even if they’re not, this is still a great way to exercise our intuition.
  3. Follow what feels good.  Our intuition is always going to guide us to what is right and true for us — this includes what feels right and true as well.  Throughout your day, follow what feels good for you.  What feels good is always in alignment with what is important and our intuition is a way to access and act on the things which hold meaning, purpose, and fulfillment for us.
  4. Ask and LISTEN.  Simple, but profound.  Get quiet and ask the question.  For this to work, we have to be in a space of knowing that we will receive the answer — because we will.  Most importantly, we must remember to listen as well.  If you’re not sure what an answer from your intuition feels like, generally it feels calm and quiet.  When we receive an intuitive answer, there is no doubt and no fear — at least not at first when our conscious mind and ego haven’t had the chance to argue about it.  There is a deep sense of knowing it is true and it is right.  What is the first thing that pops into your head?  That’s typically an intuitive answer.  Honor it.
  5. Intention.  Make a conscious decision to connect with your intuition.  Set an intention.  The best time to do this is in the morning as you begin your day.  I like to do it as I wake up and get moving.  I consciously affirm to myself my intention to listen to my inner voice throughout the day and act on it.  A few may be:
    • I am open to receiving intuitive guidance in each moment.
    • I commit to following my intuition.
    • I honor each intuitive hit I receive and follow through with it with gratitude and excitement.
  6. Journal.  Choose a time to sit down and write non-stop stream of consciousness for 3 pages.  Don’t analyze, don’t read, just write.  Even if you feel there is nothing else to write, write that.  Don’t stop until you hit the 3 page mark.  Often, putting down our mental chatter on paper can get it out and allow intuitive messages to come through.  Look over your pages and see what you find that really sticks out and may alert you to an “aha!” moment — that’s your intuition.
  7. Pause.  Before making any decision — big or small — pause.  Just for a second. Breathe.  You may find something comes up that either tells you to follow through or find another way.  You can also pause when you feel like the answers just aren’t coming to you, especially when you find yourself dwelling on a situation.  Do something different and you’ll find that suddenly the answer shows up as you finally gave it the mental space to make itself known.  When it does, give thanks and smile.
  8. Meditate.  Of course!  Meditation is one of the best ways to connect with our inner wisdom.  We talked above about the mental chatter.  This mental chatter can tend to overwhelm and suffocate our intuition from being heard or felt.  Meditation allows us the space and time to learn how to allow those thoughts to pass through and become more mindful and aware of what is happening underneath all of that chaos.  It lets us get really quiet so that that little voice has a chance to come through and bless us with the wisdom we’re looking for.
  9. Tarot/Oracle/Angel cards.  Learning how to use the Tarot, Oracle cards, Angel cards, or the many other intuitive cards out there can be a huge ally when connecting to our intuition.  They allow us to hear our inner voice and decipher its messages by way of physical representations.  Many card decks have symbolism in the art that we can use to play with our “intuitive feelers.”  You might be curious about a situation, or wonder how you can best take care of yourself in a given moment.  Pull a card and really look at it.  Pay attention to where your attention goes.  For example, you may zero in on a sun and get a feeling of warmth, joy, and play.  This might be an intuitive signal that you need more of those qualities in your life.  You might choose to read the description, but I really believe it doesn’t matter.  You receive exactly what it is you get out of it. I encourage you to shop around and choose a deck that really calls to you — your intuition will let you know when you find the one!
  10. Dreams.  Our dreams hold a ton of intuitive wisdom.  If you’re one who remembers your dreams often, this may be a helpful technique when connecting to your intuition.  Delegate a journal to being a “dream journal.”  Write down any and all things you notice in your dreams, even if they’re small details.  As random and crazy as our dreams can be, they are filled with symbolism about what is going on in our inner world — especially that which we are not consciously aware of.  Keep an open mind and consider the fact that many times our dreams are not what they seem on the surface — the person in the dream may just be a symbol for someone or something in our waking life.  For example, you may have a dream about someone trying to trap you.  You may ask yourself if there is someone or something in your life that makes you feel trapped.  Play around and feel out the symbolism, you’re bound to find a level of truth there.

As always, I encourage you to find what works best for you!  Whatever you find is perfect.  It may even be a few of these.  Turn it into a routine if you’d like and experience the shifts that take place when you consciously decide to connect to and listen to your intuition.  Intention and awareness coupled with action creates a strong relationship.  We must commit to it, stay open and pay attention, and act on the intuitive hits we receive so that we can build confidence and faith in our intuitive abilities, further strengthening the connection.

Remember that intuition is a totally individual experience.  You may feel it, you may hear it, you may sense it, you may see it.  All is right and perfect.  Work with how it shows up you!  I will be doing a post soon about the different types of intuition.

It takes practice, but it’s totally worth it.  Creating a solid connection to our intuition allows us to get even more clear about who we are, what’s important to us, and make choices that are aligned with both, based on our own inner insight and wisdom.

What’s better than that?

xo

ZOE DAVENPORT: “Full Moon Energies — Expand Into More”

FullPinkMoon2.jpg

This is a time to FEEL full — full of love, joy, vitality, connection, abundance, peace, serenity. Full, full of unlimited divine opportunities as we allow the full moon to support and assist us to expand into more.

Expand, expand, expand, expand, expand, expand, expand, expand!!

More — expand into more of who we are, expand more into the vibration of our multi-dimensional beings, expand into more love, more joy, more compassion for where we are in ascension.

Expand into all we have been holding back from — this really is the time to feel the fullness of our hearts, our beautiful lights. Feel the fullness of our being when we are expanding into what is, we let go of what isn’t — the stories, the victim, the drama, the shame, the envy, the guilt, the fear.

The full moon energies allows and supports this to expand into truth — which is light, which is love.

EXPAND INTO LOVE — WE ARE LOVE !!

We need to allow ourselves to expand in energy so freely that our cups are overflowed with what we need to co-create the new Earth — Expansion opens us back up to the unlimited potential of divine creation.

When we are expanding out — we no longer constrict ourselves from staying in the small I AM. We no longer hold back from our divine birthrights of manifestation from zero point — free from limitations and fear. For what was is no longer, what was is no longer in alignment for what is — which is who we are — expanded multi-dimensional beings.

Expansion of our truths, sovereignty, expansion of space free to create as we allow our connection of the divine feminine to FEEL into what it is we truly desire and open up to receive as we honor the divine masculine within to create divine thought — free thought expanding in energy to create form — the physical manifestations, the physical reality of expansion for us to experience this world — co-created from a place of expanded divine LOVE.

The more we share our hearts we empower self in authenticity.

Authenticity is about trusting we are enough.

We ALL have the ability to expand our authenticity when we let go of restricted energy — stagnated energy caught up in emotional attachments to to the stories of judgment.

NOW is the time we are called to stay expanded in our truths — allow the emotion of expanded creation to flow freely from our expanded and open hearts. Then we begin from the place of purity — the inner child is honored- the divine balance with the masculine and feminine starts to restore and work in alignment.

Use the full moon energies to expand into more of what we need — self-care is not optional if we want to expand through 3D and feel alignment with 5D and above.

Let go of the need to fight — to force — to stay stuck — to stay small — to stay hidden.

EXPAND OUT — allow FEEL the energy of who we truly are.

What areas of our lives are we not FEELING expanded or supporting self right now?

What areas of our lives do we FEEL restricted and energetically bound up?

What areas of our lives are we wanting to see remarkable improvements — through manifesting?

The expansion of our beings— the expansion of our truths, the expansion of our hearts will move through the “blocks” with ease as we expand bigger than the fear that was holding us back.

We are here to evolve — we are here to co-create from the zero point of expansion — of unlimited divine manifesting — that is alignment for all.

Use the full moon to expand our hearts, our ability to love, our ability to heal, our ability to forgive, our ability to surrender, our ability to let go, our ability to be in total multi-dimensional expansion.

Expand into JOY

Expand into LOVE

Expand into YOU

Breathe in and allow the heart to expand, breathe out resistance, breathe in light for the heart to open and expand, breathe out limitations through thoughts, breathe in energy to connect, breathe out the fear of staying small — stuck or overwhelmed.

The full moon is about allowing — allowing to FEEL the expansion of who we are — open — expand and allow this to come up — alignment is found in the heart through expansion.

Breathe and allow the self to FEEL the energy that is ready to flow in through the heart space in abundance — allow the heart to fill up with more of who we are and allow to receive.

Breathe and expand, breathe and expand.

I love you all

RAVEN FON: “16 Things You’ll Notice When You’re In The Presence Of An Empath”

in-the-presence-of-an-empath

“Yes, we notice a lot of what goes on around us—

but you’ll notice some things about us too.”

~Raven Fon

Can you remember an instance when someone, a complete stranger, poured their heart out to you?  It probably happened without warning, and the emotions they were feeling were coursing through your heart as well.

There is something magnetic about an empath; they have a force that draws other’s towards them.  These people who open up to you, they don’t know why they do it— and it doesn’t matter.  We give them comfort and reassurance, and after riding the roller-coaster with them, we do our best to help them find peace.

I can’t count how many experiences I have had like that— what about you?

Author of Non-Violent Communication,  Marshall Rosenberg, gives us a concise definition of what empathy really is:

“In empathy, you don’t speak at all.  You speak with the eyes.  You speak with the body.  If you say any words at all, it’s because you are not sure you are with the person.  So you may say some words.  But the words are not empathy.  Empathy is when the other person feels the connection to with what’s alive in you.”

So, yes, we notice a lot of what goes on around us— but you’ll notice some things about us too.

16 SIGNS YOU’RE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EMPATH

1.  We are often told we’re “too sensitive” or “too emotional.”

Empaths aren’t “too” this or that.  What others describe as “over-feeling” is really just being in-touch with emotions— theirs and yours.

2.  We really dislike being lied to.

It barely takes a glance in your direction and we know you’re lying.  The majority of people hate being lied to, but it really sucks for an empath.  It literally makes our skin feel gross and we feel that disgust every time we are around them.

3.  Negative images directly affect us.

Empaths find it nearly impossible to “unfeel” something.  The news?  Stories of violence and heartbreak on social media?  We avoid them like the plague.  We are well aware of the pain in the world, and we feel it daily.

4.  We feel overwhelmed by crowds.

Empaths encompass every personality type.  We are introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts.  Yet, even the most outgoing of us can become easily overwhelmed in crowds.  We absorb everyone’s feeling and energies… it’s exhausting, to say the least.

5.  We find happiness through healing.

Empaths are there to help; we try to guide you towards healing.  Just like with all of our advice, it only helps if you actually implement it in your life.

6.  We react differently to stimulants and medications.

Whether it is coffee or tea, soda or an energy drink, anything containing caffeine tends to make us feel more anxious or agitated than others.  Also, we do our best to avoid prescription medication as much as possible due to the numerous, and unpleasant, side effects we experience.

7.  We can’t be anyone except us.

If you’re looking for honesty and a true friendship, empaths are who you should be searching for (but we’ll likely find you first).  We have grown into who we are, and we embrace who we are becoming.  Usually, it is others who have an issue with our sensitivity and honest nature.

8.  We know what you are going through because we are going through it with you.

If you’re not feeling well, are feeling overwhelming sadness and depression, or if you’re agitated, we are going through all of those things with you.  We’re connected to those we care about, and we care about everyone.

9.  We have a special bond with animals.

Empaths don’t ‘own’ animals, and we don’t have pets.  We have family members.  Looking at animals in the wild, we see a perfect and pure soul… a love incapable of hate.  We have conversations with them as you would anyone else, and sometimes, we even get a response.

10.  We are usually tired, exhausted, and worn out.

We deal with more than just our personal emotions and mental drains, we deal with everyone else’s as well.  Every day we are around other people, we absorb, process, and release what those around us are experiencing.  And those are the lucky ones who have figured out how to process so they can release, instead of holding onto everything until they can no longer function.

11.  If you ask for our advice, please take it.

We listen to every word you say, we put ourselves in your shoes, and we deliver heartfelt advice.  Is it too much to ask for you to listen to it?  The thing is, we know what we are talking about— and you do too.  In fact, we are telling you the exact same thing that you know you should do.  We know it.  You know it.  So, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, either take the advice or stop asking because it wears on our patience.

12.  We become distracted rather easily.

Maybe it’s because of our heightened sensitivity to everyone and everything around us, but empaths tend to lose focus easily and become distracted.  There is a bright side to this: empaths notice and appreciate all the little things most people never take the time to notice.

13.  We genuinely detest narcissism.

Empaths can spot a narcissist a mile away, and that’s about as close as we like to get to one.

14.  We are hyper-sensitive to certain sounds.

A certain pitch, a slight buzz, and loud noises can really get to us.  However, it isn’t just sounds— we are also sensitive to textures, fabrics, and bright lights as well.  We experience the polar opposite too!  Gentle sounds, soft caresses, and delicate tastes are noticed just as intensely, but in a pleasing manner.

15.  We are excellent listeners.

Go on, tell us everything about your life from the seemingly insignificant, to the drastically transformative.  We will do more than listen— we will embark on that journey along side you, and experience every high and low found within.  On top of that, you never have to worry about any judgment on our part; we never want to hurt, only to help.

16.  Electronics act up around us.

I know this sounds strange to those who have not experienced it, but it happens.  We get shocked by touching the same things you normally do, and electronic equipment acts strange around us.  Computers glitch, cars stall, phones die— if it has a current or a charge, it is probably going to affect us or be affected by us.

For those of you who have read this article and telling yourself, “Finally! I have a word for all of this and it makes sense now!”  I am glad you have gained some insight into your gift.  And that is exactly what it is— a gift. It is something that we can learn from, and share with others.  Remember to make time for yourself, where your only focus is you.  Even just 5 minutes a day of silence and relaxed breathing can make a world of difference when it comes to handling emotional stress— and that’s good advice for everyone, not just empaths.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “How to Receive Guidance from Your Heart”

receive-guidance-from-your-heart

There are so many guiding forces in this life that are helping us along the way. These guiding forces include Divine beings, the Universe, your intuition, your heart and your mind.

Your heart is an intelligent, guiding force that is linked to both your soul and your intuition. Often we relate our heart to our emotions, but our heart is far more powerful than this.

Emotions can sometimes be misleading. Our emotions can be triggered by our mind, our thoughts and how we choose perceive things. This can color the emotions that we feel and cause emotions to cloud our judgement.

We have all been swept away by our emotions at times and then later perhaps regretted the actions that we took or the words that we said.

While emotions themselves can provide clues as to which direction we should head in, often emotions are only the first step at uncovering what our heart is really trying to say.

Being in-tune with your heart is about going deeper into your emotions and truly understanding why you feel a certain way and where this feeling really comes from.

When you really tune into your heart and clear past the emotions and the mind, often the answers are gentle, wise and rooted in love.

Being able to move out of your mind and into your heart is a powerful way to live your life and is great for receiving guidance when you are unsure of what to do or where to turn.

Here is how to receive guidance from your heart-

(This is best done when you are not in a highly emotional place, wait for the emotions to simmer for better results).

1. Find a quiet place where you can’t be disturbed. Close your eyes and take 3-4 deep breaths. Place your hand over your heart and in your minds eye, visualize the feeling of dropping into your heart. Feel your energy dropping into your heart center. Try to feel your heart beating.

2. Once you can “feel” your heart sit with this energy for a moment. Allow the energy to wash over you and continue focusing on strengthening the energy around your heart. You may even want to visualize a pink or green light growing stronger around your heart.

3. As you allow your heart energy to grow, you may notice different feelings of clarity or you may even receive a “knowing” or guidance from your heart. Surrender to the feeling.

4. Once you are ready, open your eyes. When receiving guidance from the heart the answer is usually a feeling or an intuitive knowing, so there is no need to ask your heart a question. Once you have sat in the energy of your heart, it is likely the answer will come to you naturally.

5. You can keep repeating this exercise whenever you feel the need to. It is also a great exercise for helping you to stay out of your mind and in vibration with your soul.

CHRISTINA SARICH: “Why We Have to Feel to Heal”

sarah-may-news-2

The shunning of feelings, especially in Westernized culture, has left a deep scar in our psyches.

Some of the most profound therapy for the spirit comes from truly experiencing our emotions, so how do we heal when we simply can’t feel?

Ironically, to ‘shun’ our feelings leaves our ‘shen’ wounded. Shen is what the ancient Chinese called the spark of the divine within us. Shen manifests in many ways including the ability to forgive, show compassion, appreciate beauty, and have mercy for others, but we are taught from a very young age that our feelings are ‘bad’ or ‘wrong,’ and then spend a lifetime wondering why we suffer from ailments as varied as cancer or rheumatoid arthritis.

E-motion is energy that cannot move. It is trapped. It is this stagnation that is thought to cause disease. When we feel an emotion we are actually feeling the movement of energy through our bodies. Our refusal to feel means that we biochemically and biophysically halt energetic freedom.

Science is still trying to catch up with ancient philosophies which understood how important ‘feelings’ actually are to our overall physical and mental well-being. We just now are starting to draw the correlations between certain pains in the body and their correspondence to unfelt feelings.

A woman who was once suicidal until she learned to truly feel her feelings has these four questions you can ask yourself to help you get unstuck from feelings that are difficult to experience:

1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
3. How does it make you feel when you think the thought (…..)?
4. Who would you be without the thought (….)?

Energy in Motion = Emotion

Socrates understood that energy is separate from matter as we have conventionally defined it. The Universe is made up of oscillating, moving, swirling energy, and so are you. This energy was present long before the earth ever formed.

Since your body is nothing more than an amalgamation of energy vibrating at a certain velocity, then you can understand how stagnant emotion or energy would cause the ‘water to dirty’ in the clear pool of

our divine being.

“It’s not something you can say in 25 words or less. It is a whole new paradigm shift that basically leads you to realize you’re not alone. You are connected to everybody else. Your emotions are key. And you are leaving a wake, changing the world around you in a huge way.” ~ Candice Pert

In fact, unconscious emotion – that is the energy we have ‘frozen’ within our bodies, is usually ruling us. Anger, fear, hatred, lust, greed, cowardice, hurt, sadness, etc. are not inherently ‘bad,’ but if they are not felt fully when experienced we usually form unconscious habits surrounding those emotions which then eventually manifest as disease.

Bruce Lipton, and other researchers, including Russian cosmonauts learned that feelings trigger the release of tiny neuropeptides (NPs). These are absolutely critical for metabolic functioning. NPs are responsible for regulating hundreds of different functions, including the release of hormones in the body.

Still other researchers, including Candice Pert, a Chief Scientist of brain biochemistry at the National Institutes of Health, determined that every emotional state carries with it, a specific, identifiable frequency. When we feel ‘positive emotions’ like joy or thankfulness, our neuropeptides tell the body to release endorphins like oxytocin, which make us feel happy – creating a self-fulfilling prophecy-like feedback loop. While felling negative emotions doesn’t cause an immediate dump of stress hormones, the prolonged presence of these emotions (usually buried in our subconscious) causes all matter of havoc to ensue within the body’s communication systems and hormonal flow.

“As our feelings change, this mixture of peptides travels throughout your body and your brain. They are literally changing the chemistry of every cell in your body.” ~ Candice Pert

Where do Unfelt Feelings Go?

In ancient yogic texts, we learn that unfelt emotions get stored in the body, but where do they go, exactly?

Rejected feelings not only get stored in our physical bodies, they get warehoused in our energetic bodies. When we bump into someone who triggers a feeling of shame, sadness, or hurt, it usually means that they are triggering the memory of an unfelt feeling which has been shunned and placed (temporarily) into our energetic storage locker – the chakra system. Instead of being angry at those people for showing you where your wounds are, you can use their presence as a cue to start feeling some of your old, dusty, discarded feelings.

The more they make you feel ___________ (insert unpleasant feeling) the more the opportunity for healing is present.

The Chakra system is also connected to the physical body, and can be very telling about energy that is stagnant or stored therein.

The lower three chakras, the Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus chakras are ruled by what is called Goddess or Mother Energy and our intuition. They keep us grounded to the earth – our home. The heart chakra in the middle considered the bridge between our base emotions and the higher, spiritual abilities.

The upper three chakras – the throat, third eye, and crown chakras are governed by divine inspiration. All of the chakras are important, and store emotions according to their governance. For instance, if you are a workaholic, and have issues with trust you have stored unfelt emotion in your root or sacral chakras. If you have issues with speaking your truth, or being honest with yourself or others, you likely have stagnant energy in the throat chakra.

Letting the Flood Gates Open

When we meditate, or practice using other spiritual tools, we are really not changing anything about ourselves or our experience. We are already divine beings. What we are doing, is allowing, with love and consciousness, the stored emotion to flow freely again. Once this energy is consciously felt, it no longer has to be rehashed over and over again by the subconscious mind.

From this more conscious place, we can literally change our vibrations, alter our physiology, and be ‘cured’ from every possible ailment imaginable.

To heal, we must feel, and from this profound place of peace, we return to our wholeness.

STEPHANIE LUCAS: “How to Feel and Share Energy with Others”

Art-101-700x325

Energy is all around us, swirling about the earth and the entire universe circulating the life force, Chi, or Prana that connects everything that exists. Everything is Energy, and whether you realize it or not, you are continually taking in this vibrational energy and feeding your own resonance into this cycling force. This mass of energy flows throughout the entire universe and is felt among the collective conscious of all living beings.

Feeling Energy Within a Minute

While some people are very conscious of the way energy feels — energy healers for example — some have yet to become aware of their energetic resonance and power. Take a look at this short video on Feeling Energy and then follow the steps below to learn how this phenomenon works, and how YOU can do it too, amaze your friends, and even exchange energy with them!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggtL1tN3Fn8

Mastering The Skill of Harnessing Energy with Hands

1. Get comfortable, take some deep breaths, close your eyes and relax your mind and body.
2. Hold your palms facing each other about 1-2 inches apart.
3. Continuing to breath in deeply from your abdominal regions, envision beams of energy filling your body and centering within your stomach.
4. With each exhalation, visualize these beams of energy radiating through your chest, shoulders, and arms.
5. Move your palms in small circles while they face each other. You may move only one palm or two, depending on the energy your feel or the amount you would like to.
6. You may feel warmth between the palms, tingling sensations, and it may feel as though your hands are experiencing a magnetic repelling effect and they may separate, while putting them closer together becomes more challenging.
7. Each inhalation and exhalation, concentrate on the feelings between your palms to increase the vibrational resonance of this energy of the hands.

Many energy healers, such as reiki healers use this Prana as the methodology for getting patients’ Chi flowing and to remove energy blockages and restore health.

Raising Vibrational Energy and Energy Exchanges

Any time you need an energy boost you can summon it. Close your eyes and stand with erect with your feet shoulder width apart with your arms relaxed just a few inches away from your body. Using your ‘mind’s eye’ visualize energy rising from the earth and the air all around you and traveling into your being. You will likely feel a pulsating or tingling sensation in your body as the energy flows into you. Continue ‘seeing’ this energy pouring in through your shoulders, down your arms, and radiating into your heart center. Feel the energy flowing downward and out through your toes and feet at is cycles back into the earthly plane.

You can do this quick one to two minute exercises any time and most anywhere to boost your energy, elevate your mood, raise your vibrations, and even get your friends to understand the power of energy! You can use this energy routine to harness energy and direct it towards others in aims to heal, comfort, or raise their vibrations! While many master harnessing energy quickly, it make take you a few times to successfully ‘feel’ the effects. Consider meditating upon the concepts for higher guidance or incorporating a few healing stones or vibrational jewelry into your energy routine.
