Everything has a vibration — smells, sounds, colors, objects, animals, people. We are in a continual energetic cycle of communication with everything around us, and what we let to affect us is what we become.

And as much as we have the power to affect the world around us with our energy, sometimes we seemingly lose that ability because our vibration becomes lowered and weaker than the surrounding sources.

In this lowered state, we become negativity sponges. Everybody is looking for a place to dump their negativity because it’s very hard to deal with. And when you become an energy dumpster… well, I don’t have to say too much about it — you are well aware what happens.

The sad truth is that we often choose to lower our vibration for all the wrong purpose. I’m not talking about going against our innate goodness (that is self-explanatory). I am talking about destroying our shield out of goodness.

Although it’s always important to lower your shield when you want to connect with people, we often go a step too far, compromising our energy, and ending up in a messed up energetic state.

So, here’s how to know what is that one step too far and how you can reclaim your vibration.

1. Avoid connecting with people through negative emotion

It may seem like an unavoidable scenario: your friend feels sad, and you match emotions to connect with them — to make them some kind of consolation-company. This way, we even our vibration with theirs to be on the same wavelength, and we thus lower our vibration.

Some may argue that this is very normal and expected from those who are close to you. I’d argue against it, though. It’s true that misery likes company, but this kind of company will never help anyone out.

If you truly hold that person dear, you should offer them a higher vibration so that they can get out of that lowered state. This way, you not only help them, but you also help yourself by not getting down in the dumps. In the end, how can you help someone out if you start suffering from the same problem as them?

2. Some things are not your responsibility — and they shouldn’t be

We all face challenges that are set there to make us grow. These challenges may often feel negative and almost impossible to handle. However, the worst you can do for them is take their responsibility upon yourself.

We often start feeling as if we are supposed to fix other people’s problems simply because they complained about how difficult they were for them. Other times, when we are asked to help, we decide to take one step further and start doing the things they are supposed to and can do.

However, you shouldn’t forget that we all carry our own baggage and we are responsible for it more than for the baggage of others. Giving help doesn’t mean grabbing their bags and pulling them with our teeth because our hands are already full.

No matter how ready you feel to do this, it doesn’t do the other person any good because they won’t learn anything from that challenge — they won’t grow. The better option is to encourage them to use their knowledge and power and face the challenge because they are readier for it than you can imagine.

Nobody needs a problem-solver. We just sometimes need a little push and some encouragement.

3. Substitute compassion for sympathy

Sympathy is a poison. Many people don’t understand this and find me cold-hearted when I say this, although I know how much love I have for this world. And why is it a poison? Because it leads nowhere but in the worst direction.

Sympathy means that you feel sorry for someone’s struggle, and when you feel sorry for them, it means that you don’t believe they are capable of coping with that challenge. Why would you think that? Our ability to tackle the most difficult of challenges is something we are born with.

So, why underestimate the person by feeling sorry for them? Compassion is a much more evolved approach that lets you understand their struggle, accept their position, and empower them (if you can) to overcome the obstacles.

You need to have more trust in the people you love — you need to trust their ability, that requires a simple spark of love and understanding to come to the surface. Compassion is a force that promotes growth and bonding — sympathy is a force that destroys the person before they were given the chance to fight.

4. Don’t be so sure that you know better

A person’s life is such a complex thing that you cannot possibly imagine everything that makes that complexity. So are life situations, in which everyone has their smart opinion — until they are faced with one too.

I have never asked for a piece of someone else’s mind on things that are happening to me. Do you know why? It takes a lot more than words for me to explain everything that is part of that problem, and I don’t see why this would be anything different from you or the next person.

And no matter how much you know about someone’s problem, they will always know one thing more. Which means, no matter how good your advice is, no matter how better you think you know — your advice will most often be a dead end for them.

Why a dead end? Because they didn’t act the way they would and listened to you. Being true to yourself and to your nature is the most important thing. Every mistake I have made because it was my decision has been better than the seemingly ‘best things’ I’ve done under other people’s instruction.

So, no, you can’t know better. Allow the person to act as they naturally would.

5. Never take sides

Oftentimes people we know get into a quarrel and try to put is in the middle by making us choose sides. They try to achieve dominance in numbers and don’t really care about your opinion, which can be felt clearly.

In most of the scenarios, you simply want to be objective and rational, so as to help your, say, friends, to overcome the communication problem and make up.

However, bias, pressure, and thinking that we know it all make us jump in the middle and become bombarded by two clashing sources of negative energy. In the end, you don’t help in any way and end up feeling drained and guilty that you stepped in, in the first place.

And really, why should you take sides in a problem that isn’t yours? Instead of choosing the sides of the story, you should embrace them and accept that people need to solve their differences without your meddling.

6. Never become a people pleaser (and if you are, start saying NO)

I have yet to learn to say NO to some situations, as all of us empaths have that people-pleasing gene that is screwing us over. But really, putting others in front of you may feel rewarding and selfless, although it’s actually ridiculous  and those others usually know it.

If everyone acted this way, we would live in a Utopia, I suppose. The truth, though, is that it’s impossible because we were simply born in our own skin, not that of the others — which means we need to start from ourselves.

Putting others before yourself and giving your energy away like you won it off in a casino is a self-betrayal that people won’t appreciate in you, no matter how much you hope that you’ll be appreciated for it.

A better option is to always ask yourself: ‘Can that person do that themselves?’ ‘Can that person wait?’ ‘Do I have to do something related to my life first?’ Even mothers shouldn’t bend to every of their children’s ideas and wishes, right? Why should you?

7. Mind your own business

It’s our eternal pain to learn what others think of us. Many have started revolving their lives around other people’s thoughts and opinions of them. It’s saddening and sickening, really.

I have the reputation of a ‘cold,’ ‘reserved,’ ‘arrogant,’ and whatnot person because I keep my healthy distance and don’t allow people to gobble up my life force and personality. And you know what? I don’t really care. In fact, I’m glad.

Everybody knows me for who I am, and I have never thought twice before saying the things I mean and standing up for myself because I don’t expect anyone else to do it for me.

I know I have an unlimited source of love for this world — but sometimes naughtiness can’t be rewarded with candy, right? Unless it’s cute, I suppose!

The most important thing is that you can’t define your life on the basis of other people’s opinions and thoughts about you. Those who like to judge you for who you are can freely do it, and you can freely not give an f*, because in the end: THAT’S YOU AND YOU SHOULDN’T CHANGE YOURSELF BECAUSE OF ANYONE’S OPINION.

Reclaim your identity, because if you lose it, nobody will be there to find it and bring it back to you. By reclaiming your identity, you reclaim your energy. Respect yourself and respect everyone around you, but know your boundaries.

Cats may be famous on the internet for being funny and adorable, but there may be a deeper reason why we feel an inordinate fondness for felines.

What if cats serve not only as objects of our affection, but also as protectors of our home?

Guard dogs may be effective at keeping away unwanted intruders, but cats fulfill a far more important purpose of protecting the home from a different kind of uninvited houseguest.

Cats and Negative Energy

Recall a time when you noticed your cat staring tensely towards a seemingly empty space or spending a suspicious amount of time around one particular spot in the house.

It’s likely that your cat is sensitive to a concentrated amount of negative energy and is attempting to protect you and your home from possible infiltration by evil spirits and ghosts.

This is because cats bear a uniquely powerful aura, also known as astral force, that works to repel negative energy.

It is possible that this negative energy remains left over from some traumatic experience in the past before you came to live in the home, or the entity could come from outside the home and try to force its way in.

Ways to Remove Heavy Negative Energy

There are ways that you can assist your cat in removing evil spirits and ghosts from your home.

In the case that your cat takes interest in a certain spot in the house, you can read a prayer and perform a cleansing ritual of your choice.

Alternatively, you can burn some White Sage at the spot to eliminate any unwanted energy, as the smoke will attach itself to heavy negative energy and convert it back into light energy.

One of the first things a person wants to do after their awakening is to begin to serve others. Many of the awakened people on the planet are natural healers and learn a method of energy manipulation called Reiki. While this form of healing can be powerful, it can also be detrimental to the recipient if the healer is not on the level of understanding and guidance of a higher level.

Reiki is a form of energy healing where the “universal energy” is passed through the hands of the healer to the recipient. The main benefit of such energy seems to be receiving energy when energy is lacking to a specific area. The only reason one would need to receive universal energy from another is if they have not remembered how to connect to the source of universal energy within themselves, usually due to low vibration energy blocks. It is human nature to want to help another feel better so that they can perhaps then be able to move forward and connect to their own energetic force.

In order for safe Reiki to be administered, there are a few things you should consider before either giving or receiving Reiki.

First, the Reiki healer should be able to either see the recipient’s energy field or be completely guided by their higher self or healing team. How is it possible for someone to be able to give the correct frequency of energy to the right area if one cannot “see” the energy field? It could be detrimental to the recipient to have too much energy in one place. Very rarely, individuals serve as vessels for teams of higher beings to work through and they simply move their consciousness out of the way and let the teams take control of the physical body and perform the healing. These types of healers will stand out in the alternative community as miracle workers and thus will have a proven track record. Otherwise, be wary of someone who simply becomes certified to give energy but has no way to gauge where it needs to go or what frequency or color it needs to be.

Second, the Reiki healer needs to have done healing and clearing on themselves. If a person does not know their Reiki healer well, they have no idea of who or what is in their energy field. Until hitchhikers, astral beings, and fear are dissipated by a person themselves, they should not be trying to heal another person. It is not a good idea to receive Reiki from someone who is just in the beginning phases of their own healing and awakening process. Otherwise, energy healers can inadvertently pass these energies or entities around like a ghostly virus.

Third, if a person is a hands on healer, they need to be clearing any negative energy from themselves before laying their hands on another person. Until protocols of protection are learned, a Reiki healer should not touch another person, especially if they are an open empath. Of course, that is how many people get healed and it is a wonderful thing for a person to get healed by someone when they couldn’t clear the energy blockage themselves. But this is hard on the healer to take on the energy and then to have to take the time and energy to clear themselves. Sometimes the healer gets too overwhelmed with energy that they have inadvertently taken on and they can get sick or “burned out” as the body gets fried.

Fourth, as we are moving closer and closer to connecting with a greater consciousness and self-healing understanding, it is not a good idea to continue enabling a person to rely on others to give them energy. All souled humans have the ability to remove the blockages that re-establish the connection to the same universal source. That is the real goal of someone who is on the ascension path, and one who continually seeks that energy outside of themselves is bypassing the work themselves will continue to struggle until they begin the path of self-healing.

While it is noble to want to be in service to others as a healer, it could also be harming others more than helping if the above topics are not considered. The very best way a person can help another is to work on themselves first. Some people take a fast track and can work on their issues within a year and some take decades. There comes a time in a truly balanced and healed individual where they catapult themselves into a higher timeline. Only then are they truly connected with their higher self and guides who tell them exactly what their mission is. If that mission happens to be healing, the protocol and method for doing that healing will be shown to them and the healing guides will always be there to assist on every session. This is the kind of Reiki healer one would want to be, and this is the kind of healing that one would want to receive.

In summary, the very best Reiki healers are “seers”, people who have a direct connection or open telephone line to their healing guides, or people that know how to step out of the way and let their healing guides work through their body. If you have recently received Reiki healing from someone and you got sick or feel worse from that session, try clearing by taking a sea salt bath and calling on your own healing team to remove any energies you may have picked up. Grounding with Earth and imagining that all that is not yours be pushed out of you feet into the planet for transmutation is also another good method. Ultimately we all end up making a few mistakes on our journey so that we realize how to heal ourselves.

As we continue to collectively raise our consciousness and understanding of frequencies and energy, it is important to refine each area in the metaphysical and spiritual arena. We have to become more aware and responsible for our own actions, where we are placing our energy, and what energies we are taking on from others. Clearing and healing yourself automatically affects everyone who is connected to you or that comes into your energy field. This has proven to be the most effective and accelerated way to help others collective ascend in frequency. While Reiki should not be necessarily ruled out in the higher consciousness protocols, the understanding and mastering of energy postulates that we can shift energy on a quantum level through association rather than a physical level.

1. Be Mindful of Your Focus

What you focus energy upon determines your reality, and all too often we literally GIVE AWAY OUR ENERGY to distractions and efforts that don’t serve our Higher Selves. After a long session on the computer, in front of the TV, or a visit or call with a low-vibrational acquaintance, you might notice that when you come back to yourself that you feel ungrounded, disconnected, and fragmented. 2. Recognize That You Already ‘Fit In’

If you’re reading this, it’s likely that many people consider you to be ‘different, unusual, weird, or out there.’ Being outside of general society’s inner circle is where the good stuff awaits – like spiritual enlightenment, joy, and peace. Stop trying to divide yourself between who you really are and how you’re trying to be seen in other’s eyes. After all, we already have enough duality in this realm. We are not born seeking a sense of belonging or acceptance. The next time you find yourself twisting yourself into a pretzel to fit in and not being true to your nature, remember what they say, ‘your vibe is your tribe.’ So, if you’re still striving to ‘fit in’ with your current tribe, perhaps it’s time to blossom out and explore neighboring tribes, so to speak! Embrace your differences, and know that you already fit in and are a valued part of the collective. The truth is: A SENSE OF BELONGING BEGINS WITH SELF ACCEPTANCE – and you can never be greater than your own level of self-acceptance, so aim for authenticity in your words and actions. Accept your imperfections and vulnerabilities. Authenticity promotes balance within your auric field. 3. Accept Your ‘Flaws’ and Call them Love

Humans are incapable of achieving any level of true ‘perfection’ outside of themselves, but can find acceptance of all their perceived ‘flaws’ amid their soul essence. Because love is perfection, and we all ARE love, then you are already perfection as a direct reflection of Source.

Your Soul is Calling You to be your true self…it beckons you to dig deeper into your subconscious and understand the true nature of your own self-image. By being true to yourself, you can transform these revelations into action. Acceptance, love, and actionable changes go hand in hand and are a powerful ways to balance the chakras and energy fields. To embrace a more loving energy  for yourself and others, consider energy balancing stones such as rose quartz, green aventurine, amazonite, and rhodochrosite.

4. Allow No Technology to Enslave Your Energy

Technologically Emitted EMFs drain your energy and cloud your auric fields on their own; however, they take us further away from our true selves when they dominate our time and our lives. Eliminating just one technologically based distraction from your life could help you bring your energy and auric fields back into balance, and truly change your ‘reality’ in profound ways!

You are at your strongest, a more powerful creator, more grounded and whole within when you focus your energies on things that are highly vibrational like nature, music, dancing, laughing, beauty, prayer, meditation…Live your life as your TRUE SELF – live abundantly and step into your realm of mastery.
