TANAAZ “(Forever Conscious): “The Cosmic Energy of the June Solstice 2017”


The June Solstice falls on the 20th-21st, marking the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the June Solstice represents the peak of the year and the point of highest energy. The Summer Solstice is a time of light, masculinity and outward expansion.

In the Southern Hemisphere, the June solstice represents the lowest point of energy for the year. The Winter Solstice is a time of darkness, femininity and inward expansion.

No matter where you live, you can feel the energy of the Solstice by observing Mother Nature.

In the North the days are sunny, the sky is blue and nature is very busy. In the South, the days are cold and grey and nature is mostly resting.

Mother Earth pretty much sums up the energy that is around us at this point in the year and where we should be focusing our energies.

Those living in the Northern Hemisphere are being blessed with high energy and the desire to go out and do things, whereas those in the Southern Hemisphere are being blessed with a lower energy that is better used for rest and reflection.

Even though there are differences in the energy of the Solstice, the planetary or cosmic energy is the same no matter where you live.

In the sky, the planets are gearing up for the Super New Moon which falls on the 23-24th of June. This Super New Moon is part of a longer cycle that started back in May and will help to crystallise things and bring about a fresh new beginning.

This energy, along with the Solstice is going to be guiding all of us to start thinking about our life in a new way.

We are going to be guided to assess and review our thoughts, words and actions, and to make adjustments that reflect the life that we wish to lead.

The cosmic energy around the Solstice and leading up to the New Moon holds an intense energy, almost like the heavens are beaming down on us and lighting up areas of our lives that need our attention.

We are all going to be called to step into our fullest potential and begin aligning with our purpose and our highest path.

Our purpose on this Earth is to be true to ourselves and to follow the calling of our hearts, although this can seem tricky at times, the more we stay true to who we are, the easier this journey will unfold.

The Solstice energy is going to be beckoning us to welcome in the new and to celebrate why we are here and what mission our soul has come to serve.

This is an excellent time to revaluate your life and to go after any goals, dreams or wishes that have been on your mind.

The time also has come to take a leap of faith and start putting your plans into action. Don’t be afraid, the time to start is now.

In the Northern Hemisphere the time is perfect to reach out to others, collaborate and put your ideas out into the world for other people to see.

In the Southern Hemisphere, the time is perfect to brainstorm, make notes and channel your creativity to come up with solutions, strategies and new ideas.

We have all reached the point in the year where it is time to get out of our comfort zones, rise up and put plans into action. It is time to build bigger dreams, have higher ambitions and to find more and more joy.

In fact, if you don’t know where to start with all of this energy, start by following your joy and the rest will fall into place.

Life is strange sometimes, but it is helpful to remember that aside from all the soul lessons and growth, we are simply here to have fun.

If you do nothing else for the rest of the year, just focus on using the cosmic energy of the Solstice to bring in as much joy into your life as you can.

With the current cosmic energy and the focus on heart awakenings, it is the perfect time to talk about Kundalini Awakenings.

Kundalini Energy

Kundalini is a feminine, creative energy that lives inside all of us. It is often envisioned as a snake that lies coiled up in the pit of the belly or base of the spine. It is said that this snake is coiled precisely three and half times around.

A Kundalini rising, which is the force of that snake rising up is very similar to a feeling of an orgasm, or the feeling you get when you are on one of those giant drop rides at a theme park. In fact, the force of the Kundalini rising is unmistakable.

A Kundalini Awakening can trigger all areas of your life, just like a regular spiritual awakening can, in fact, the two energies are extremely similar and are probably hard to separate.

How to Awaken Your Kundalini 

Awakening your Kundalini energy starts with the breath. The idea is that you want to inhale and exhale through the mouth almost like you are sipping air through a straw. Here’s how to do this-

  1. Breathing through your mouth, imagine inhaling all the way down to your spine and up the top of your head. As you exhale, feel the air emptying your body starting from the top of the head all the way down into your belly. Almost like the air is rising up through the inhale and rising down with the exhale.
  2. Once you have the breathing movement down, begin making it fluid almost like you are sipping in the air and exhaling it at the same time. Let there be no pause or no beginning and ending to each inhale and exhale. Make it fluid like a continuous chain of movement.
  3. Keep doing this breathing exercise for at least 15-20 minutes, at this point you may start feeling energy rising up from your belly area. You may also feel tingly or even slightly shaky. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, stop the practice and reconvene another day.
  4. Keep repeating this breathing exercise as needed for best results- recommended practice is 1-4 times per week for 30-45 minutes.
